well, you can make the same argument about guys coming off injuries...but regardless I see your point...
that's really different though.
If a guy was in the league for 4 years and was healthy all four years and played great, but in his 5th season [let's say it was this past season] he got injured early and missed most of the seaosn.
Yeah, we don't know how he'll be after the injury, but we know what he CAN do in the NBA. We don't know if he'll suck after the injury because he hasn't played enough after the injury to show us that he can play, but we can't assume that he wouldn't be good either.
But all the guys that were injured last season really slid this draft. Like David West, for example. if he never got injured, he would have easily went in round 5-6. His injury shouldn't hurt him in this draft though because he played most of the season, so that's what we go off of.
With rookies though, we have nothing to go off of except potential.
