I root for the Indiana Pacers not because Danny Granger is on the team but because they are my hometown team that I love. The Players would fail terribly the NBA is a brand name like Coke. I see no way that would work. This is all talk anyway.

Amare is an idiot BTW.

So if the indian pacers were to replace their players with 15 posters from chicitysports, you'd still be willing to pay to watch them play? Come on.

Not to mention.....who is going to put them on tv??? ESPN and TNT sure ain't.

Clearly, a well thought out plan.

Lol why wouldn't they be willing to? The networks geenerate their money from the big names.

What he's saying is that he's a fan of the team, not the players.

Plus we have Scottie Pippen on the board.

I understand exactly what he was saying. All I'm saying is your paying to watch the best players play. Otherwise, why not just go to your local highschool game? I guarantte if the high schools decided to charge 30-40 bucks a game noone would watch.

Then why make an argument over it? High school athletics have limited thousand of dollars budgets. The NBA has billions to spend, so they spend it on paying the best players. It's all part of inflation. The NBA isn't going to pay a high school player millions to play in the NBA.

Don't take 50/50.

The players deserve a fair deal, and 50/50 is not a fair deal. It is heavily in favor of the owners. People need to stop with this they better take what they can get, like they are beggars who should be happy to be there. They are paid to do a job.

And if they started their own league, why wouldn't TNT, ESPN, etc. put it on. They are going to go where the money is. It would be heavily sponsored and since the players have endorsement deals with various companies, it wouldn't too hard to get more people on board. You make a 16 team league and load up the rosters and play a 50 game season to start out with. It would be cool to see.

But no one wants to see or even think abut these brothers having such a great idea come to fruition and actually succeeding. Mr. Boss Man Massa Sir wouldn't be getting as much of the pie, or any of it for that matter, and some people just can't handle it. Some people already use the N in NBA with another word I'd rather not say here, so i say make it a reality. If the owner want to try to royally **** them over, then the players have the right to cash in on their own abilities.

This exactly. And there's no reason the major networks wouldn't televise their games. Hell, they were showing lebron james high school games. And getting good ratings

The players aren't business smart at a minimum meaning major fail for the players

The owners take all the risks and have others to be concerned with

Players only have to worry about themselves.

They should be happy the split isn't like a real job 98 owners 2 employees

The players aren't lucky. They provide the revenue, it's not like the average job where the employees are selling or promoting someone elses products. The players are the product and that's why they are looking out for themselves.

I find our lack of understanding very disturbing.
