This was the Nuggets 4th summer league game while to the Bulls 1st. So they had a big advantage.

Jesus Christ. Quit making excuses for a summer league game.

The Bulls summer league roster blows anyways. They have no new 1st rounders and the team is basically a bunch of UDFA's.

On the flip side Bouldin had a nice game. 8pts(3/7FG) 4ast and 2reb

who cares the summer league is crap

only reason people watch is it to see players like wall and favors play

and also to see those players that played on your college team but wont be a star or anything

I'm not making excuses and the summer league does not matter. But the Nuggets look way more polish as they played together already. Byars came out stron and I have no clue where he went, JJ was OK and Bouldin was pretty good.

^so if it doesnt matter then the nuggets bench looking "polished and playing together" means little to nothing

especially JR Smith is on that Nuggets team

I meant, they look like the play together before unlike the Bulls. Also JR playing was so stupid and BS.

^ I think JJ will get the most as he's the only one that will make the team right now. If the Bulls don't re-sign Law, Bouldin will be the backup and maybe Byars will get the last roster spot or something. But I don't know about the mins.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
It's SL, nobody cares if you win these games. This is just one massive talent assessment pool that everyone keeps an eye on, to find a gem or to fill out their rosters, including D-League contracts.

I'm worried about JJ. He's still making nonsense fouls. He did have really good stretches, and you can see his ability to split post defenders has improved with him being in better shape. Once he gets his body/arm checking fine tuned, he's going to be solid.

Chris Richards looked pretty good. He was extremely conservative, but he was pushing every lost player into position for most of the game, and covering his ground. He even looked like he was in better shape than all of last year. I really didn't expect him to be a "floor general" of any sorts, even in measly summer league. If only he was less grounded, and showed some hops going at the basket.

Byars hits the first 2 3's, then disappears for the rest of the game. I was hoping to see him show more skills. Communication breakdown maybe? Oh well, plenty of games left.

Bouldin looked solid, and better as the game went on. You could tell he was out of place at the point, but he made some good adjustments. That kind of "basketball IQ" is really nice to see out of an undrafted in SL.

Lucas showed some skills too, I was impressed by how well he was reading passing lanes on D.

Samuels is one to watch for. He's a solid banger and young.

Plaisted didn't look to bad either.

How does Ogilvy redeem himself? He's going to be #1 on the cut list.

I wanted to see McNeal play, but I'm sure he'll get his chance.

If we had to fill the roster off this game, amusing we sign another 2 players off the market. My best guess is our last 4 spots of the 15man would go to Boldin, Lucas, Richards, and Samuels.

why in the hell is JR Smith playing in the Summer Leagues anyway??? WTF!!!

yeah but the Bulls don't have much talent on their Summer League team, James Johnson struggled, I like Lucas though, he has some explosiveness and a very nice shot, he was the only one that stood out though

oh yeah I forget about Bouldin he was Solid and he made a few 3's

I'm just now watching the game. DVR'd it.

Yeah, I never care too much if they win. It's all about watching the guys who could make the bench or who are on the bench already. Still Bball, still worth watchin' IMO.

Bulls fall to Nuggets in summer league opener
by Adam Fluck

LAS VEGAS — The Denver Nuggets (4-0) were firing on all cylinders in their fourth game of the 2010 NBA Summer League on the campus of the University of Nevada – Las Vegas, as they defeated the Chicago Bulls in decisive fashion, 99-71.

The Bulls (0-1) were unimpressive in their opening game of the desert classic, committing 25 turnovers that led to 35 Denver points.

Nobody could stop Ty Lawson in the first quarter of the first game of the fifth day of Summer League action, as he exploded for 13 points on a perfect 4-of-4 from the field, 1-of-1 from three point land, and 4-of-4 from the stripe in the period. In addition to scoring 13 points, he dished out three assists, including an alley-oop to Richard Roby with 1:44 to play in the period. The bucket was in the middle of a Nuggets’ 13-4 run, en route to an 28-18 advantage at the end of the stanza.

Lawson didn’t play in the second, but his Nuggets caught his hot hand, with Laurence Ekperigin coming off the bench to score a quick 10 points in the quarter as part of Denver’s 23-7 run that lasted until the final minutes of the half. At the end of the two, Denver owned a 54-30 advantage, shooting an impressive 70 percent from the floor.

The Nuggets didn’t let half time break their rhythm, outscoring the Bulls 27-14 in the third quarter, and extending their lead to as many as 41 points before settling for an 81-44 advantage at the end of three.

The Bulls successfully outscored Denver in the fourth quarter, 27-18, but the deficit was too great to overcome.

Denver completes their Summer League schedule tomorrow, when the team takes on the Houston Rockets at 1:00 p.m. PT at COX Pavilion, while the Bulls look to rebound from the loss in the team’s second game in Las Vegas when they face the L.A. Clippers at 5:00 p.m. PT.
