It's not even about 'the issues' anymore with the NBAPA and the owners. At this point, it's just pride. Who's going to give in first, who'll let their ego be tarnished. The players seem to be failing to realize that the owners hold all the cards. They have no problem missing an entire season if it means the CBA ends up swinging drastically in their favor.

Owners and players are currently meeting.

From what I've heard, Stern is going to be offering the players union a better offer than before by either tonight or sometime in the next 2 days. If the players reject that offer, Stern is going to go ahead with missing the whole season

Now I get what you're trying to say about the purity of the game (running plays, ball movement, team play, yada yada yada), but more often than not NCAA bball is basketball in it's sloppiest form.

League source says no way deal getting done if players insist on more than 50% BRI.
