He was a leader and a clutch player too.Scoring in the playoffs is not the same thing than scoring in general. He took a very bad team and lead them in the Finals. Not many players have done something like this.
he also was lazy and not a team player at times
im not going to say iverson is not an all time great player..because he is
but top 10?
he took a bad team to the finals..ok great....that is a testament to his skills(no sarcasm) but that in itself does not warrant being in the top 10....
most of the guys in(or imo should be) the top 10 are either mutliple time MVPs,mutliple time champions, or both, and dominated on both sides of the ball
part of being in the top 10 all time, imo, deals with longevity of success, and immense accolades
i see perhaps the longevity of success, the accolades imo do not warrant top 10
perhaps the biggest thing is,as i said, the fact that other players such as lebron, bob petit, have honestly better cases than iverson
he was a great scorer, but do not let that cloud judgment
scoring is everything technically in basketball, yet at the same time it is far from it
if you get what i'm saying
And of course he is in MY top10. I can't think why someone would let him out of the best20 players of all time. For me he was one of the best. Just like Duncan. The guy is a key factor this year at his 35.
i think he's top 20-25
