He was a leader and a clutch player too.Scoring in the playoffs is not the same thing than scoring in general. He took a very bad team and lead them in the Finals. Not many players have done something like this.

he also was lazy and not a team player at times

im not going to say iverson is not an all time great player..because he is

but top 10?

he took a bad team to the finals..ok great....that is a testament to his skills(no sarcasm) but that in itself does not warrant being in the top 10....

most of the guys in(or imo should be) the top 10 are either mutliple time MVPs,mutliple time champions, or both, and dominated on both sides of the ball

part of being in the top 10 all time, imo, deals with longevity of success, and immense accolades

i see perhaps the longevity of success, the accolades imo do not warrant top 10

perhaps the biggest thing is,as i said, the fact that other players such as lebron, bob petit, have honestly better cases than iverson

he was a great scorer, but do not let that cloud judgment

scoring is everything technically in basketball, yet at the same time it is far from it

if you get what i'm saying

And of course he is in MY top10. I can't think why someone would let him out of the best20 players of all time. For me he was one of the best. Just like Duncan. The guy is a key factor this year at his 35.

i think he's top 20-25

1. MJ
2. Kareem
3. Wilt
4. Russell
5. Magic
6. Bird
7. Hakeem
8. Robertson
9. Kobe
10. Shaq

It's really hard to make a top 10 list. All of these players are great players and I just hate ranking them one over the other because it's really hard to choose one over another.

That list could change for me on any given day.

1. Jordan
2. Kareem
3. Wilt
4. Kobe
5. Oscar
6. Magic
7. Hakeem
8. Lebron
9. Shaq
10. Karl Malone

LeBron at #9? I'm sorry but first he needs to win a ring to even be on the top 20. As of right now I wouldn't even have him above King Dirk.

You can take Lebron off the list now.
Larry Bird can go in his place.
We get your funny joke. Hardy har har!!!
There I laughed.
You can quit fooling around.

.

If Oscar Robertson never won a ring he would be top 10. Wilt was an all time great before 1967-68. These are examples of players winning rings AFTER their primes.

Lebron, in his prime, is doing things no other player has done in NBA history. Multiple MVPs, and he has been to the Finals twice.

Saying Dirk is better than Lebron is laughable...when did Dirk eclipse Lebron? Last year? When he won a ring? I don't think so...

Karl Malone is also on the list...no rings.

i think some of those guys could be shuffled a little but thats my top 10

Bird as the 2nd best player ever? Over Wilt, Magic, AND Kareem? Wow...that is the first time I have ever seen that on any top 10 list.

But why isn't Larry Legend Bird on the list?
Are you loosing it or what.

i got alot of respect for bird

honestly you could could put magic 2...kareem 3 larry 4 and i'd still be fine with that

honestly the relative order is not totally important but i see kareem, larry, magic, and jordan in the top 4

Okay, got you. Your list is more like, "these are the top 10 players" but in no particular order. Understood.

i dont think bird at 2 is that unreasonable...but there's a lot of different ways the list could go

tier 1(top 4)
jordan
bird
kareem
magic

tier 2(next 3)
hakeem
russell
wilt

tier3(bottom 3)
kobe
duncan
shaq

thats how i see it..i'd put either kobe or shaq at the top of tier 3...hakeem or russell at the top of tier 2

and obviously jordan at the top of tier 1

We will agree to disagree then...I am not putting Bird over Oscar, let alone Magic, Hakeem and Wilt

Its really hard to make an accurate top ten of all time list.
In order to do it, it would be based solely on ones opinion.
So really there isn't a right or wrong answer.

Me personally, I think there are a hell of a lot more than 10 players in NBA history that belong in the top ten.
That's just how I see it.
Making a top 20 list is a lot more possible with accuracy.

The only fact here is that Michael JORDAN BELONGS AT NUMBER 1.
That is the only right answer.
