2.5 men was funny with Charlie Sheen. Sure it was drunk dick and fart jokes but they were funny drunk dick and fart jokes. Big Bang Theory is funny as well but being a nerd I get the culture and the references.
Blue Bloods first couple seasons weren't bad but it falls into the same issue as every other network drama, it never moves anywhere and becomes a bad guy of the week show. Best cop show ever was Southland because it didn't focus on the bad guy of the week. NCIS could have been epic but again bad guy of the week show but the characters are great and it could have been an awesome show if they focused on the characters and again not the bad guy of the week.
I am not a big fan of network TV because of its episodic nature, whereas cable tends to do more serialized stuff. I mean I'm a nerd and I like the Star Trek universe but man those shows are boring most of the time because (once again) problem of the week. Battlestar Galatica was the best sci-fi ever until season 3 where they drove it into the ground as fast as they could.
Also reality TV needs to fucking DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE. Resurrect Hitler and tell him reality TV are the jews and let him go to town. It is the worst thing ever to happen to television. Some of the stuff makes for an interesting 2 hour documentary like extreme couponing (I had the unfortunate displeasure of having to watch it on Thanksgiving) and Deadliest Catch. That kind of repetitive stuff makes for an interesting documentary to learn about those ways of life but makes for a shitty weekly show. Hell Ax Men, how do some of those idiots turn profits?
