I feel that as the season goes on MLB will relax the restrictions to attendance. Shoot most of the people that I work with including myself are vaccinated. So this is just a time game that we are going through.

So if we know anything about Tom is he will spend with in a budget. The loss of fans forced a payroll reduction. A increase of fans will increase payroll.

So that is a opinion based off of Tom's history with the team. He diverted funds to rebuild infrastructure. Then payroll shot up. Then he bought up real estate to absorb the seating in the buildings to again generate more revenue. Then a new TV deal to increase revenue.

So the notion that he dumps payroll? No.

I see it as a very basic relationship. Tom gives Jed a working payroll. Jed is 100% responsible to fill it and 100% accountable of the results of those decisions.

so if the team fails then yes it makes business sense to sell off assets and reinvest into system depth.

but going into 2022 does that mean that Tom tightens up his purse strings? No. If you look above responsibility and accountability falls on Jed. If Jed screws up like trades Bryant for a garbage return and he goes on to win a WS and hits the market on a mega deal that would have scored a far better talent than what Jed accepted in July that reflects poorly on Jed. Would it fire him? Most likely not but if it becomes a business trend of selling at lower than market value (Darvish) then yes he would have to fire him and bring in a new person with a new vision.

Speculation is fine. But I would rather have a solid season and Jed lets Bryant Baez and Rizzo walk. Get his 3 QO's and then invest into next year's payroll with the freed up assets.

Should he sell high on Contreras'? No because of Jed's trade history. It sucks. But that is a personal opinion. Even if he gets a studs quality talent he is giving up a studs talent. If Jed instead extends Wilson? He has a complete game right now in a vital position. He can put the team on his back. Cards paid Yadi and built around him because he was that important to their brand.

If Jed did trade him and got another garbage return...for ****'s sake why would you trust him after he hosed up the Darvish deal.

1. How long will you be watching people who have been vaccinated? How do we know that bad side effects can’t happen long after vaccination, if the vaccine’s only been studied for less than a year?

We will track participants in our phase 3 clinical trial for the next two years following their second dose, in order to document the long-term effectiveness and safety of the vaccine.[xiii]
Our trial is closely monitored by Pfizer and an outside, independent group of experts called a Data Monitoring Committee, or DMC. Trial investigators also monitor participants’ health, and participants in the trial attend regular planned follow-up visits as part of the trial. Pfizer and BioNTech will be conducting additional studies to determine how effective and safe the vaccine is in the real world and among specific risk groups such as healthcare workers and among nursing home residents. 1. What can you share about the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in pregnant women?

We recognize that developing a potential vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 for broad use is critically important to combat the pandemic. In line with standard research practice, pregnant women were not enrolled in our trial, so available data on the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine administered to pregnant women are limited.
However, a recent study in JAMA Network Open compared the outcomes of pregnancies in women that have / have not had SARS-CoV-2 infection, which showed that SARS-CoV-2 infection during pregnancy was not associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes.[xv]
We will evaluate the vaccine in pregnant women in a study starting in Q1 2021, once developmental and reproductive toxicity studies are complete. People who are pregnant or breastfeeding should discuss their vaccination options with their individual health care provider.

1. When will you be able to share more information about vaccinating those in younger age groups (12-15 and 16-17 years of age)?

We currently have about 1000 participants in the 12-15-year-old age group enrolled in our trial. This controlled approach was agreed to with the FDA to allow for initial safety assessment in a small group. We plan to evaluate and assess these participants after their second dose prior to conducting further enrollment in this age group. Enrollment for 16-17-year old participants will continue as planned and we will share data in due course over the next few months.[xvi]

1. Does Pfizer and BioNTech’s vaccine cause Bell’s palsy?

Bell’s palsy is a condition that affects the nerves controlling facial muscles and can occur after a viral infection. It is typically temporary and resolves in a few weeks.[xvii] The observed frequency of reported Bell’s palsy in the vaccine group is consistent with the expected background rate in the general population, and there is no indication of a causal relationship at this time. Pfizer and BioNTech together with FDA will continue to monitor for cases of Bell’s palsy as the vaccine is given to larger populations.

The US has been cruising on vaccines. Biden proudly announced Wednesday that the country has put 200 million shots in American arms during his administration. More than a quarter of the country has been fully vaccinated and 40% has gotten one shot. More than half the population over the age of 18 has gotten one shot.
