I personally hate that song myself. The only reason I tolerate it is because if its that annoying to me when WE score, i can only imagine how annoying it is to hear it when scored on.

Leave it the way it is - it's a fun song to go crazy to and celebrate the goal. Only time it gets annoying to me is when we score like 9 or 10 goals in a blowout and it feels you're singing every other minute. But those are far and few between. Otherwise, I'm dancing in the aisle.

Here comes the Hawks is kind of lame IMO. I know it's classic and all, but it's boring and has been boring since it was written. There's nothing inspiring about that song. I know I'll probably be skewered for saying so, but I've never liked "Here Come the Hawks"

I wouldn't mind beer barrel polka being played after a goal, but Here comes the Hawks would make me snore.

I won't flame you, good song IMO, but as a goal song it would be different. But I loved when they played the polka after goals, and then McD wanted to attract a younger crowd (I was 18 at the time and loved it) and got rid of it. Moron

Good, bad, or indifferent to the song, it still has become an "anthem" of sorts to the Hawks winning games and winning The Cup.



I did an interesting little experiment while on a bar crawl down Western Ave on the Southside last weekend. Every bar we stopped in, I put Chelsey Dagger in the jukebox. Every time it came on, the bar stopped and everyone started singing along. I thought that was pretty cool. Even if they are bandwagon fans, people immediately think "Blackhawks" and get excited when that song comes on.



I say stick with what works.
