hoping to go here > Rochelle Railroad Park tomorrow since the weather isnt gonna be half bad..

usually about 100+ trains a day go through the double crossings..

If I go.. I should have some nice pictures to post.

There was also a UP unit coal train headed eastbound as I left.. but I didn't grab the camera.

So in around 2 hours saw all that..

Prior to yesterday I went there over a decade ago.. Now they have a nice giftshop with a rail traffic monitor inside.. so you can see whats coming..

I hope to get back in the Spring for most of a day..

Yeah its really nice now.. Plus especially that they let you walk up and around the Diamonds if you want to take nicer pictures.

thanks.. they weren't up to my normal par for shooting but not terrible..

A power move is when a train out on the line needs an extra loco so if there's an extra one not being used at a yard they will send it down the line by itself to catch up to the under-powered train..

Also can be used to just move loco's from location to a different location etc.

Well there was Black Friday week for hobby stuff too..

Just waiting for my order of well cars (similar to the ones you see in the first picture) and a shitload of containers for them also.. Gotta love 70% off and discounted shipping..

Plus I just ordered a new engine today.. Now I just need to find a better way to store this stuff so I can take it to more shows..
