So I'm going to bite the bullet and get new windows on my house. Anyone have any companies they recommend? Thnx.

Because they suck. Cheap ass builder grade windows that aren't energy efficient. Having good windows really helps down here when you live in this heat.

Anderson Low E glass windows are all you need for the next 60 years. No reason to step up to Pella

My siding guy left the state a few years ago, so I was in the same boat when we had one of those super windy days. Wound up just DIY. And let me tell you, window DIY is not bad at all. One of the easier jobs, so as long as you can measure, do basic math, and have a helping set of hands with a case of the beer at the ready.

get ya some bullet proof esg windows.... cover that with a 3m security film or similar competing product

then cover them with an aussie staple.. roll shutters... besides security... they are good for insulation purposes

BTW, save money by going with a double pane glass on all windows that aren't facing direct sunlight. Triple pane is a marginal improvement, and really only helps with your most problematic rooms as far as sunlight is concerned. Some contractors try the upsell, and it's illogical. Some contractors will tell you they are triple paned, but it's only double, so make sure you can identify the difference if you do go 3P.
