As another hiring season continues, the league office is looking at McCaskey's Bears and the NFL's other remaining coach and GM suitors with particular scrutiny.

Wait a minute!! I was told on here that this was all one big "Nothing burger" I believe were the exact words.

Congrats to the fans of Chicago for giving this organization money for them to turn around and continue to help out friends and NOT try to put the best on-the-field product,

Whatever the timing, Eberflus' firing followed a trend of failed Bears coaches. But his 2022 hiring was part of another pattern, too, one that both the Bears' fan base and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell have now clocked -- with concern.

Since 2018, agent and ex-Chicago defensive end Trace Armstrong and his agency, Athletes First, have represented two fired Bears head coaches, Matt Nagy and Eberflus; three fired offensive coordinators, Mark Helfrich, Luke Getsy and Shane Waldron; as well as current general manager Ryan Poles.

"I've never seen one agent have so much influence on one team and had so little success, but they keep going back and taking his guys," said one coaching agent, who requested anonymity to speak freely on the topic. "And we all kind of shake our heads like, have they not figured this out yet?"

So that’s how Helfrich ended up here in 2018. Him and Nagy didn’t even know each other iirc

We all know bears are run by unqualified losers that have failed up in life. This report should shock no one.

Well, since everyone knows everything and no one should comment on anything, Rush should just shut the forums down then. No point in a discussion forum if discussion isn't allowed because everyone knows everything...:long:

Lol you're so mad and antagonistic today 🤣

Why are you lashing out at @ZOMBIE@CTESPN over such an innocuous post? Did your HR department discipline you for doxxing people on company time?

If you lose 100 pounds you might be able to get out of bed instead of rolling out of bed and be in a better mood idiot. My post has nothing to do with you and was just dogging the bears fatso.

I’d like to meet Trace in the parking lot for some Oklahoma drills.

wtf is up with that name anyways? Lot of fluid names but I’ve never met or read about another shit head named Trace before.

If all they’re going to do is let trace make the big decisions that keep on failing why have spent millions on search firms?

Great article and honestly very very damning about the Bears ownership.

This is why we will never be legit franchise.
It's not just the Bears it's everyone else in the NFL which is why Phil Snow has been coaching for so long with no real season success you can point to.

It's literally guys who don't know how to coach consistently getting jobs they don't deserve.

There might be one or two decent offensive line coaches in the NFL and that's reflected by the former players in the NFL who have seen these guys coach and have played the position. Guys who have played talk about playing the position way different than the guys who coach it. It's almost like players eventually figure out how to play it without ever being coached properly.

You want to know why Poles can't build an offensive line despite playing offensive line in college? Because he never succeeded playing offensive line at high level. Poles rode Matt Ryan's coat tails to an NFL tryout but was never on any NFL Draft radar.

There are guys who get NFL chances who have no business being anywhere near a football field and many of them wind up in Chicago.

What does the agent have over ownership for this to matter? Trace Armstrong won’t let players he represents from considering the Bears? It’s most likely the Bears FO is just that inept and don’t know how to hire a coach.
