Well, since everyone knows everything and no one should comment on anything, Rush should just shut the forums down then. No point in a discussion forum if discussion isn't allowed because everyone knows everything...:long:

What does the agent have over ownership for this to matter? Trace Armstrong won’t let players he represents from considering the Bears? It’s most likely the Bears FO is just that inept and don’t know how to hire a coach.
Yeah, I didn't really understand whats the actual issue....it's not like there is a salary cap for coaches or there is a very limited number of coaching candidates out there, so I don't see how Trace Armstrong can have any control over the process. Any influence he may have on the Bears is just the Bears being lazy/inept.

"Since 2018, agent and ex-Chicago defensive end Trace Armstrong and his agency, Athletes First/Bears Second, have represented two fired Bears head coaches,"

What does the agent have over ownership for this to matter?

1) The Bears trust him far too much.

2) The Bears have hired I believe 6 of his clients

3) Those clients have all been monumental failures and incompetent.

4) Trace Armstrong gets paid whether or not they fail

5) Them getting hired boosts his profile to potential clients.

6) The Chicago Bears don't know football and need help so Armstrong gives them that help.

7) He hasn't been helpful at all.

The issue is these guys draw from their own stable. Getsy is an Armstrong guy. Other people may be better for the job but they stay with their own. Poles did it when he chose Eberflus as HC and then Eberflus did it when he chose Getsy and then when he chose Waldron.

True but at the same time they get away with this because the coaches they hire don’t know anybody around the league so they have no connections.

It was also reported that most of the "group" wanted Quinn as HC and Poles went with Eberflus because he was represented by Armstrong.
