Beats by Dre produces high-end headphones, but they're probably not worth the $10,000 San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick paid to wear them last week.

The NFL, which just fined Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas and Cleveland Browns linebacker Christian Kirksey a little more than $8,200 each for dirty hits last Sunday, fined Kaepernick $10,000 for wearing non-approved headphones in a postgame press conference, according to CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco.

The NFL has a new deal with Bose headphones, and banned players from wearing other headphones in postgame interviews.

NFL is slowly becoming such a bullshit league. The Bigwigs of the NFL need to step back and realize that this is an entertainment product that they're selling. Fans don't care what kind of headphones a player wears. Fans want to watch games where it's just pure football without 10 flags being thrown on every other play. The NFL is becoming more and more unwatchable.

Kap has a deal with Beats. What's to stop Beats from just reimbursing him the fine money (call it a bonus)?

......until the NFL threatens to suspend, of course.

Remember back a few years ago when earl was getting fined for wearing the orange cleats? I see a similar situation brewing here.

Yes, it is. I have no doubt it'll implode in the next few years when fans just get tired of this bullshit, tv timeouts, overdramatic hype of everything, etc.

They're ruining it for themselves.

Though i agree it's becoming more and more of bullshit, i think people will always watch the NFL. The tv ratings only go up every year. They're more profitable than ever so why would they care?

The NFL won't go away, but I would not be surprised if it takes a dip in popularity if the product, as such, continues.
