40times are less important now that they can track how fast players are actually running during games. Per AI Loveland clocked at 21.25 max speed which is not slow.

Reports indicate Loveland is more quick than top end speed fast, he can run the entire route tree which is huge for a rookie, he has a great catch radious - bottom line he is a big body with a big catch radious that will be open a lot - even if he is not going to outrun DBs hes going to be a chain mover and if they target him can be a volume catcher as a rookie who can help open up the rest of the offense. He is going to hit the ground running as a slot receiver and hopefully get stonger over time to be a complete tight end.
bears took Loveland over Warren because he's younger and has the size to be coached up as a blocker

LOL they didn't take him because they wanted to develop his blocking.
They took him because he's a better route runner and better at separation like LaPorta

LTFOL, They took the best move te because they wanted to develop his blocking and because he is younger?

Early leader for dumbest thing said in the draft thread.

Nice to see all of the dick-ripping last night and today. Loveland was a great pick. OT were gone. Jeanty gone. Top edge, gone. This was a Ben pick, trust in Ben.

All reports I have read state that Loveland is already a better blocker than Tyler Warren.

Another thing I'm coming around on is the fact that Loveland played substantially more time at michigan.

Not only is Tyler Warren older, he really didn't do much until his final year at Penn State. I really don't like drafting older players that didn't manage to do anything until they were older than all of their competition.
