Edit: And Dylan Sampson. They actually have him as the highest graded left.

Caleb was Poles’ pick — his alone. If Caleb plays lights out, breaks franchise records, makes the Pro Bowl and becomes the first Bear QB in history (dam near) to become elite… that will be attributed to Poles making moves to enable the Bears to draft #1 and take Caleb… and to Poles having the foresight to bring in BJ — rightly or wrongly (in the books) Poles gets the credit for bringing BJ.

Do we really have to wonder if these are Poles’ or BJ’s picks? They BOTH know their fates are largely tied to how well Caleb performs. They BOTH have tremendous incentive to stack the deck in favor of Caleb — force feeding him into greatness.

With BOTH these guys needing the same guy (Caleb) to be hugely successful to ensure their fates, it’s easy to assume BOTH of these guys wanted the offensive chess pieces we added in this draft.

I don't think the bears have had a single pick that didn't go to a commercial break with 11-15 commercials. That seems to be a recurring theme every year.

Bears actually gave up more value if we base it off the jimmy johnson chart. 700 vs 720

I still like having 2 2nd's tho. My guess is they want a RB and at 41 its too rich

Rich Hill chart is better and it was closer using that. Also, this draft is considered pretty flat in this range, so technically 41 should’ve been a bit less valuable relative to the Bills picks.
