Various Bears Day 2-3 predictions...

USA Today

39. Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M: "The Bears went offense in Round 1 and opt to address the defensive line in Round 2. Scourton is an edge in a similar mold to Trey Hendrickson, who played well under new Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen in New Orleans."

41. Aireontae Ersery, OL, Minnesota: "Chicago takes a forward-thinking approach at No. 41 here. Ersery could work in at tackle or guard as a rookie and be a potential starter at either position in 2026 with guard Joe Thuney and tackle Braxton Jones hitting free agency."

72. Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa

The Athletic

39. Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota: "In Round 1, the Bears landed Colston Loveland, a perfect fit for Ben Johnson’s offense. On Friday, Chicago has a chance to get tougher up front. The hulking 6-6, 331-pound Ersery could be a long-term answer on the left side."

41. Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College: "This would be outstanding value for the Bears, who still need plenty of punch along their defensive front. Ezeiruaku has one of the deepest pass-rush move sets in this draft and is a very high-character player."

72. Trevor Etienne, RB, Georgia

ESPN

39. TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State: "After adding tight end Colston Loveland in Round 1, the Bears could give new coach Ben Johnson the speedy, pass-catching back he made popular while he was the coordinator for the Lions. Henderson is electric and the best receiving back in this draft."

41. Donovan Ezeiruaku, DE, Boston College: "Signing Dayo Odeyingbo in free agency gives Chicago versatility with its defensive front and personnel groupings. Adding the speedy Ezeiruaku, who can win with his 34-inch arms and dangerous first-step quickness, will give the Bears a solid pass-rush package for new coordinator Dennis Allen."

CBS Sports

39. TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State: "Ben Johnson gets his explosive back to deploy in the screen game often. More help for Caleb Williams."

41. Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College: "The Bears get a high-floor outside pass rusher to pair with Montez Sweat."

72. Charles Grant, OT, William & Mary

Pro Football Focus

39. TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio: "Henderson, when playing confidently, shines with his agility and long speed. He lacks some size for tackle-breaking and pass-blocking, but he remains a high-effort player in those areas. He seems like a good speed component of an NFL committee, including for receiving work out of the backfield."

41. Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College: "Ezeiruaku is a smaller outside linebacker-type edge rusher who can struggle with the power aspects of the game. However, his quick, smooth style paired with high football IQ and some very nice bend make him an ideal 3-4 pass rush type of defender to draft on Day 2."

72. Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas: "Mukuba's lack of a run-defense skill set may turn off some teams, but his instincts and athleticism in coverage make him a top prospect. His game is reminiscent of Devin McCourty, who excelled as a true free safety later in his career with the Patriots but had the savvy to make plays from a variety of alignments because of his football intelligence."

Sports Illustrated

39. Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall: "Another surprising faller from the first day, Green has too much pass-rush production and athleticism to slide much further. The Bears snag a nice value pick here."

41. Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State: "After adding flash in first-round tight end Colston Loveland, the Bears add a powerful, bruising ballcarrier."

72. Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Bowling Green State

One thing is for sure. Poles and Johnson dont give a **** what fans and media think. Consensus was they need DL/OL/RB and they take a TE and WR. LMFAO!
True, at the same time, the value at those positions seem to have dissapated right before our picks both in the 1st and 2nd rd. Kind of how the board fell. So not sure too many can complain if they look at the context.

So we have replaced Kmet and Moore in this draft. Exactly what I was hoping for yesterday morning.

I doubt they are replacing moore.

He's on a solid deal for his production. The guy had 1400 yards with justin fields.

They also need 3 WR's. This likely signals kmet may be traded before camp tho, who knows. Certainly gone next year

Burden is also a slot I believe, where more didnt play there much.

Never bet against that dude. What a monster.
He's got that strength that commands attention.

Damn I'd love to bring him in. Give him the start and hand him the rock.
