I hope that I’m wrong, but I believe this is what happened in the first two rounds.
This is what happens when your GM blows donkey balls and doesnt have a nutsack to trade up for a guy he wants and instead lets his guys get drafted in front of him so he then trades down to pick up a bunch of back up scrubs in 2-7 rds

With the Ozzy pick, I hate the fact that we drafted another RT when we have Wright. Feel like we should've gotten a true LT. One of the two will have to move which I hate doing.

I feel like we failed to address RB early enough. Yes, we may have been sniped multiple times but I don't think we took advantage of a deep RB class only coming away with a RB in the 7th.

No edge is a failure to me.

The trade down in the second I feel like we gave up more than it was worth to move down. Traded down 15 spots to only move up 10 from 72 to 62. Just feels like there was no plan after our target(s) got drafted.
The trade down from 41 to 56 also got back the total of what we gave up for Joe Thuney.

Ozzy has played LT and RT so not sure why people think he is a RT only.

Because usually a really good T is going to play LT in college, unless there's another really good T. And there wasn't with BC.

It’s what they heard during the draft broadcast. He would start right away at RT

I think it would take some adjustment for him to play LT. but not out of the realm of possibility.

Membou played RT but yet many felt he could play LT. In the end, all that matters is where the Bears see him.

Yes heard it from random pundits who have nothing to do with the Bears. I heard pundits had Sanders as a top 5 pick too.

All that matters is whether he can do it. And the chances aren't high. They wouldn't be high for a guy who played mostly LT in college, but they are even lower for a guy who played RT.

Referring to the talk of his being a RT only. It doesnt what pundits or fans think. All that matters is if the Bears think he can play LT. If they do then he will get the chance to prove it.

Trapilo didnt play RT. He played LT in 2022 and RT in 2023 and 2024.

So did Darnell Wright.

Did anybody think he was a LT coming out?
There was talk of him playing LT yes. By fans that didnt like Jones. And all that mattered is Bears played him at RT which is precisely the point. The Bears will decide where Trapilo plays not fans not media. The Bears have not claimed he is just a RT.

All that matters is if he can actually play LT in the NFL. If the Bears think he can and he fails, that is not a good outcome.

Trapilo did play RT, for his last two seasons. I think most coaches would leave him at LT if they thought he could do it well as it tends to be the more important position. But I don't follow BC closely so not sure.

Again I am not referring to whether he sticks at LT. I am referring to the idea that he is only a RT. We dont know how the Bears feel on that matter because they havent said. So no point claiming based on pundits that he is only a RT now.
