Stupid money grab IMO.

Ruins all stats pre-2021 which I guess may not be bad cause honestly comparing say Dan Marino to Mahomes is dumb already. Different games.

Not as bad as ditching divisions tho. That would be the worst.

I mean the league has already expanded games once. ?‍♂️

More NFL and less preseason is always good in my mind.

I really enjoyed the extra playoff game this year too. (despite it fucking my Bears tank plans)

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Indiana Hoosiers
  2. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
And have more chance of getting injured. Its not a clear cut benefit.
If it wasn’t then the players shouldn’t have agreed to it. They know what they are risking and every play is a injury waiting to happen. At least it takes away the meaningless preseason games.

They aren’t playing more games....just more games that count

I agree. The NFL always preaches saftey for the players but Wolford got clearly hit in the head while he was sliding by Jamal Adams got a concussion and was in a neck brace in the ambulance and there wasn't even a penalty. How am I suppose to take the NFL seriously on how much they care about the safety of the players when certain rules only apply for certain players.

More than once. This will be #13
Yeah back when they were getting the league off the ground and didn't supposedly care about player safety and head injuries. Context is a thing.

They could get hurt walking into the stadium....they could get hurt sneezing. Do you care about the construction workers working 16 hrs a day for 3 months as much as you do the nfl player make it 1000% more?

Ok?
Except it has been changed at least once every decade except in the 1950’s

the 17 game season is going to keep adding to importance of the QB position.

QB's tend to stay healthier than other positions like RB for instance. So having that dominant QB for 17 games when there's going to be more injuries at the other positions will be an even greater advantage.

Well that was stupid.

It’s not an argument. It is a question. Injuries are part of every job. Please don’t act like this is exclusive to an NFL player who is compensated very well and has a choice in voting for the CBA

I’ll never hate more regular season football. The only thing I don’t like is how people will make ridiculous arguments using stats for 17 game seasons to day a player/team was better than one from a 16 game season. It’s why I already hate comparing different eras.
