A second bye would seem to be a no-brainer for a 17 or 18 game season. But apparently the plan is to keep just one bye week.

Start the season a week earlier & end a week later? Or 2 weeks earlier start.
I expect they'd want to keep the final weeks of playoff hunt during the holidays.
