Yeah it is an absolute ***** playing against Euro teams since they got the game 4 days ahead of North America. They are just flat out better stats wise.

The best playability addition was they fixed the NHL 11 Pass To Nowhere™



The best innovative function they added was the ability to destroy Luongo.

Apparently NHL 12 will be the first NHL game that allows you to actually create a physically female character all due to the efforts of one girl.

Alot of people in the comments section seem up in arms over this, crying about political correctness....Its a frigging game and you dont have to add female characters if you dont want to. The girl wanted to be able to play as a girl, why is that so horrible...

Probably me. The thing is playing EASHL if you want to compete for a chance to win you have to play as a team and you do have to "work" at it a bit. But it is rewarding to beat other teams because you have more skill. EASHL is a lot like real hockey in the sense that offensively you are looking to find chinks in the armor of the defense and that against good teams you have to take advantage of defensive breakdowns and score. Defensively you are looking to shut down the offense by disrupting their system and keeping them on the perimeter on much as possible.

I have noticed it's much harder to deke the goalie in 12. It doesn't help that my pro is only rated like a 72, but even in regular games, it's much harder.

The deking this year is super cheesy. At least last year the money deke looked good, this year it is so cheap looking. I almost wish they'd take a step back and get rid of deking, the kneel down shot block, and hip checking.

Also, I saw a defenseman pinch the boards to try to hold a clearing attempt in. Is that done automatically by holding L2 or is there something else that needs to be pressed? I never saw that in NHL 11 so I don't know if it's new or if it was just rarely done.

The board pinch is automatic, the stand up shot is actually a low shot block rating
