Lets not forget that Dobbins was playing in that Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman offense which is tailored for RB's and Chubb was running in Clev who once again had brutal QB issues and OL issues. Big difference. You put Chubb on that Chargers team and he's killing it if he stays healthy which Dobbins didn't do.

Point is no joke.

Nobody respected Watson anymore whatsoever.

How hilarious is this that CCS is arguing over which seriously injury prone RB we want to give millions of dollars to to come pair up with D.Swift and hope they can last a full season in a part time role. LOL

I'll take either one, i just want to have a good running game to help Caleb.

Should we take them both and let them all compete for jobs?

My money would be on

Chubb/Swift/Wheeler in that order over Dobbins/Roshon/Monongai/Homer

he does turn 30 in December at the end of the 2025 season, so what's so funny
Your thinking that 30 is too old for football.

I suppose that you're accustomed to Lions HOF players retiring from having to play for the Lions at that age.

I don't think Chubb can return to what he was just a couple years ago, a Hall of fame talent in his prime.

But I'll take that 500lb squat on 3rd and 1. Or 4th and 2. Or 1st and goal at the 6, 4 times.

He doesn't have to be a bell cow, he has to be a vet who knows protections, mentors, and carries some hard yards into longer possessions and more chances for BJs .

Pretty sure the whole Chubb rumors were started by his agent. Dude needed to kick start FA talk.

Looks like it. If the Bears had interest today they would schedule a workout. Maybe they had initial conversations with his agent and he wants more time to rehab before working out. I could see that happening.

Exactly this. We can’t have 2nd and short drives stall anymore. It’s a combination of a respectable power running game and the oline not false starting. We can’t count on anyone for that power running game on the roster currently. Is Chubb the answer? I don’t know but they have to find somebody.

Maybe it’s the 7th rounder? RJ with his concussion history can’t be relied on.

Correct, he doesn't need to regain his all-pro form, but he will provide stability to the RB room. Swift only received 99 carries in his lone season under Ben Johnson in Detroit (albeit in 14 games) and never got more than 150 carries in Detroit. He's not a guy who should be getting 250 carries, and I highly doubt that he'll get that many under Johnson this year. The Bears need someone else to share carries, and while Chubb has an injury history and is showing signs of aging, I think he can still provide the tough yardage gains the Bears need.

I'm going Chubb/Swift Monangai
Fair enough.

I just want to see Ian Wheeler in the system along with Monongai. Those two should be best friends anyway.

I like Wheeler and the new UDFA power back Hankins better than Homer or RJ.

My hope really is just that they end the Homer bullshit.

How the Bears can still acquire a running back without free agency

I never remember hearing any rumors of Kenneth Walker Jr (Seahawks RB) being on the trade block before the draft like it says in this article but i'd be all for trading for him if the cost was right.

Terrible options of who he thinks the Bears "could" trade for a RB...

Braxton Jones, DJ Moore, Coleman Kmet, Rome Odunze, or D'andre Swift...

Is Gene Chamberlain code for A.I. writer?

Journalism period is dead.

Weiderer is a fucking bum and he is the one who reported the bears tried to trade up for a RB.

I believe ZERO shit that guy says. He legit has zero inside in halas, the guy tried to drive a narrative to get ryan poles fired. There is zero way that anyone at halas would give him any idea of what the bears wanted to do in the draft.

Honestly the only guy who has any "inside" in halas is biggs and i doubt he even has much.

This shit is just kinda pathetic, daniel could write articles better than these fucking chicago bum journalists. Weirdorer is just making assumptions based on what he thinks happened in the draft and courtney cronin doesnt even know that a sophmore cant come out early. Sad.
