Icehog- I'll have to have a look at that one then -- DoG penalties can happen for a number of reasons; sometimes a defenseman will be trying to get away with one, sometimes it is sort of like fouling someone in basketball when the guy has a break, sometimes it is just shitty luck (say trying to clear the puck and not catching any of the glass) ... mind you that one is only a relatively recent penalty (brought in -what- within the last 10 years or so ) - it used to be a faceoff inside the defensive zone iirc.

If I can find the highlight video of that -I'll maybe say more. But if you jump on a guy for a minor- shit- some guys ought to put on some skates and try playing for a little bit ... :smh:

You know what, I stand by what I said... I'd love to see the guy's critics get out there and try it... for some reason I won't be holding my breath.

I'm fairly well assured that he did not intend to clear the glass -try cutting the guy a break; I don't think he was the reason the team seemed to look like they were scrambling all over the place in their own end (which from what I saw - they were).

The problem I think people have is that they are a little spoiled...they expect the Hawks to go 82-0 this year and play flawless hockey...sorry, not realistic.

Agreed! Boynton has been playing fine other than a couple of dumb penalties but whatever he's playing fine in his own end.

Sadly, we just have to put up with it until Campbell comes back, which according to a couple people on twitter last night will be in 2 weeks

Cullimore at least seems to be in better position that Scott in our zone which I like. If you are going to suck at least try and be in position that helps!

Cullimore being out of position and letting the Sabre camp in front of Turco led to one of the 3 Sabre goals. A Cullimore blowout led to another of the 3 Sabre goals.

To be fair, after looking at the box score - all Buff goals were at even strength, and Cullimore was -1, barring a quick line change after muffing it - would indicate he was on the ice for only one against.
