Stopped reading when I saw this:

Left Fielders
1. Ryan Braun, Brewers
2. Matt Holliday, Cardinals
3. Alex Presley, Pirates
4. J.D. Martinez, Astros
5. Chris Heisey/Ryan Ludwick, Reds
6. Alfonso Soriano, Cubs

Presley and Martinez are kids who hasn't even had 500 MLB at-bats, and they're ranked higher than Soriano? I know he's a butcher in the field, and has lost a step or two...but jesus, he's not the 6th best LF in the division.

LOL at: Jay Bruce 3rd in RF. Dude should be an MVP candidate this year along with Votto.

Latos is ahead of Garza is odd.

I'd have Volstad 4th among 5th starters.

Marmol should be #2 or perhaps #1.

Outside of that...I can't argue too much.

Altuve over Barney because he did hit .389 with 42 extra-base hits in 87 games in the minors.

In high A and AA... in the majors he couldn't hit for shit.

Alvarez over Stewart? I don't think so.

I'm gonna stop because looking down the list... it is obvious he has something against the Cubs. Not saying we're going to be great, or even good.... but it's just dumb.

LOL at you and your butthurt conspiracies.

So far your best reasoning is that Stewart(who is a shit) should be above Alvarez(who is shit). At least Alvarez is slightly younger and has a bit more bounceback potential in some cases. But this is arguing over nothing. Both pretty much suck(ed).

Altuve over Barney is reasonable if you are trying to project 2012. Altuve is 22. Higher ceiling. Hit amost the same as Barney last season(same average, slugged better) he's comparable on defense etc. Kids pretty talented. Projects better than Barney IMO.

Did you read some of his explanations? His explanation for putting Byrd 5th amongst CFers is

Byrd is prime trade bait with prospect Brett Jackson waiting in the wings.

What does that have to do with who is the best or worst CFer? It's irrelevant.

Dude is writing blurbs on players as he puts this shit together.

Should Byrd be higher on the list? I dunno? Maybe, likely not.
Whatever.

You saying he has something against the Cubs is hilarious based on ian Stewart being below Pedro fucking Alvarez and Barney behing behind a decent rookie and him mentioning Byrd as trade bait?

ZOMG! Did you see what he said about Carlos Lee?

. Did you know Lee has more RBIs in his career than Hank Greenberg, Pie Traynor, Zack Wheat, Bobby Doerr, Gary Carter, Chuck Klein, Bill Dickey, Joe Kelley, Heinie Manush, George Sisler, Earl Averill, Tony Gwynn, Roberto Alomar, Joe Morgan, Kirby Puckett, Bill Terry, Kiki Cuyler, Hack Wilson or Ryne Sandberg, just to name a few?

How is that relevant?

It's not.

Who cares. LOL at you taking ESPN so serious.

Stewart had three straight seasons of a .337 wOBA or better until last year. Then he kinda fell off of the cliff. Alvarez only had ~400 PAs of decent AB's. Stewart had about 3x that. Both did suck, but Stewart's was after a three year period of not sucking. Alvarez is just random. Doesn't really factor in that Stewart is superior defensively.

Sure he has a higher ceiling than Barney, basically everyone has a higher ceiling than Barney. But Barney is more reliable and to say that Altuve will be better after playing extremely well in A+ and AA yet completely disregarding his struggles at the MLB level is just misguided, IMO.

OH WOW!

I'm impressed.

Too bad most of this is going to be dealing with how they project to 2012. Stewart blew goats last season. So did Alvarez. I can't believe you are even wasting time with this.

ZOMG ESPN HAS STEWRT BELOW ALVAREZ! CONSPIRACYZ!

Who. Gives. A. Shit. Bump Stewart over Alvarez. Trust me. We all REALLY care.

His "struggles" at the MLB level had him on par with Barney in some cases. Again. Barney is meh. Altuve is a solid spect who played decent when he came up. It's a fucking projection. If Altuve performs better than Barney this season would anyone really be surprised?

Anyone?

Please read this:
Rankings are based on my own subjective predictions for 2012 performance,

i agree..i think soriano should be 3rd or 4th...whoever made this is probably looking at projections and extrapolating from their small sample size production that these guys will automatically be better than soriano

doesnt work that way

its odd..soriano used to be a little overrated..but not because he has declined so much in alot of aspects in his game and has become confined dimensionally he gets a little underrated

This is awfully hypocritical of you. You get on me for taking ESPN so seriously then you take how I feel about what ESPN posts and make it a big deal. Who cares? Why are YOU wasting your time on this?

Why are YOU wasting your time getting butthurt over BSPN saying the Cubs will be a bad team this year.

It's not groundbreaking info, and I expect a bad team this season and probably the next.

Do you even know what that word means?

No, I get on you for being an idiot about rankings/projections in general. You make no damn sense. Your "issues" with the ESPN rankings don't even make logical sense.

The writer "has it out for the Cubs" because he thinks Ian Stewart is shitty, Darwin Barney is "whatever" and Alfonso Soriano is bad?

Wow earth shattering analysis there.

Why are YOU wasting your time on this?

Because pointing out your idiocy never gets old.

I had issues with JA Happ. He came around at the end and was beating his career numbers. I'm pretty high on him.
