Everyone hates Hendry because we suck. He gace us two straight playoff berths and an above-.500 team. He also made some solid moves this offseason with Marlon Byrd and Rudy Jaramillo. Sure he overpays people, but remember that the Tribune MADE him add two extra years to Soriano's proposed contract.

Good grief. He didnt "give us" anything. Hendry has had every advantage that a general manager could possibly have and has little to show for it. Much of the time, Hendry has been trying to get out of his own way. For example, remember how bad Jacque Jones was? What does Hendry do after that abyssmal failure? He goes out and makes an even bigger f*ck up by getting a similar player in Milton Bradley and pays him even more. And Milton Bradley was an even bigger risk because of his emotional problems. Youd think Hendry might have learned his lesson from Jacque Jones, but no.

Other than a few mis-steps.. Hawkins, Bradley, Neifi.. etc..

The only thing I genuinely don't like about Hendry's operations is the non-use of comp picks.
