Everybody is so loyal to Noah...but where is his loyalty to the Bulls? He wants 15 mil per after 1 good season. Good grief man...its a business, Noah is showing that more than anything right now...

I'm not sure why we are giving him offers. He did tough it out through part of his injury, but we still need to see 1 solid and healthy season before he is in that 10m/y range. If he can pull 75+ games, show improvements over last year, and he doesn't turn into a whiner somewhere, then he is worth the money in his ballpark.

I agree. Like I said,if this keeps up,then you can definitely screw Noah and trade him. He isnt worth that kind of money. But once again,Noah probably wouldnt sign an extension with Denver, unless he really wants this money,I hope the Bulls dont pay him that much.

Noah should learn a lesson from contract situations in the past (Deng and Gordon).

5 yars 57 is more than fair. 5 years 60 would be fine with me. 12 mil a year for a solid big man is the market value. Big men always get over paid. That's how it is.

With the CBA up in the air, Noah would be foolish to pass on it. Who knows what will happen. He could come out and see his numbers drop because of Boozer. Who knows.

As much as I like Noah, the Bulls would be idiotic to re-sign him before the new CBA comes out.

5 years, 60M is good for him. Nothing more. I even think that could be too much.

The Bulls would be idiots to re-sign him. He should just be happy that the FO is obviously in-love with him, for refusing to sell him down the river for a top-10 player.

They need to wait until the new CBA or at the very least... until restricted free-agency. He's pretty much a lock to be in a Bulls' uniform for the next 2 seasons (assuming there isn't a lock-out in 2011-12).

I for one dont think there will be a 2011-12 season. He would then become a unrestricted free agent in 2012, unless there's something in the new CBA that applies to this situation if there is no season next year.

Trade his ass for Melo. Someone is too full of himself for not having put together a full season. Where is his loyalty. The guy went back to Florida to play for free but won't give us a break even after we spent big bucks on a team he is happy with.

It is too much.

Yeah, 12M for a top rebounder and who's offense is shitty is too much. Maybe, if he can make jump shots, that's a different story. For Noah, I think 9-11M per is a good deal. So...5 years, 45-55M is good for him. More around 50M.

The most I would pay him is 60 Mil maybe 65. Anything more than that, nope trade him. But like I said it comes down to Noah having to agree to an extension with Denver which idk would happen or not but I guess it depends on how bad he wants that money.

Trading Deng/Noah for Melo would have probably been a smarter move than it would be to give Noah a massive extension before the new CBA.

In either case, the Bulls' risk tying their hands financially. But at least if they had Melo, they would have a legitimate top-5 scorer.

I am content with the decision to do niether. The Bulls need to roll with what they have now until the new CBA comes out.

Also, if Noah does not play great and becomes injury prone, they are screwed.

Our frontline has to be the most injury prone in nba history. ANd all of them will have huge deals. Something tells me secound round exits will be frequent. If healthy, they can play.

Noah will not get a better offer unless he holds out and absolutely dominates this season. I don't see him dominating to the point to justify that ticket. I'll tell you this, you will see Noah sign a deal before the new CBA. He's just playing hardball right now to see how far he can push Jerry's wallet.

I doubt we will see Noah traded, especially if Thibodeau has any say.

I would be fine if the Bulls gave Noah 12 mil a year. But I would like to see what Noah does for one more season.

The Bulls did give Chandler 10 mil a season, and he's the worst offensive player I've seen in my 20+ years of watching basketball.

Biendrins got about 11 mil a season from Golden State. Big men always get over paid. What was Dampier's contract? Something ridiculous. so was the deal Samuel Dalembert signed the same offseason as Chandler.

I don't know how much hardball Noah is playing here. But if he, and his representatives, are seriously pushing for 15 mil per season - all the more reason to include him in a Melo deal.

But that would be typical Bulls management. Not willing to trade Noah for Carmelo - then end up letting Noah walk.

Just like they wouldn't give up Scott Williams in a deal for Jeff Hornacek in 1994. They loved "The Tank" so much that they wouldn't part with him for a SG that could have gotten a Jordan-less Bulls team to the NBA Finals. Only to let Williams walk in the offseason, along with Grant.

Bulls management, so frustrating.

I love that this story comes out after everyone has been singing the praises of Noah's winning attitude, unselfishness & intangiables that make him off limits in a trade. You think Noah doesn't read the news? You think his agent doesn't? The NBA is a business. There's no loyalty when it comes to large sums of money. Of course Noah's agent is pushing for more. Any self respecting sports agent would. You can't seriously expect Jo & his agent to sit there & say, "$11mill seems fair", when you're talking about this kid as a cornerstone of your franchise that you won't even include in a trade for a Top 3 scorer.

Good God, Dampier got $14 mill & he doesn't even know he's on the court half the time. He feels his market value is a lil higher, can't say I fault him for that. None of this changes my view of him as a player or person. I mean it's not like he's a holding a press conference @ the Kenilworth Boys & Girls Club to tell us he's going to play for the Knicks while urinating all over the Stanley Cup.
