I love that this story comes out after everyone has been singing the praises of Noah's winning attitude, unselfishness & intangiables that make him off limits in a trade. You think Noah doesn't read the news? You think his agent doesn't? The NBA is a business. There's no loyalty when it comes to large sums of money. Of course Noah's agent is pushing for more. Any self respecting sports agent would. You can't seriously expect Jo & his agent to sit there & say, "$11mill seems fair", when you're talking about this kid as a cornerstone of your franchise that you won't even include in a trade for a Top 3 scorer.
Good God, Dampier got $14 mill & he doesn't even know he's on the court half the time. He feels his market value is a lil higher, can't say I fault him for that. None of this changes my view of him as a player or person. I mean it's not like he's a holding a press conference @ the Kenilworth Boys & Girls Club to tell us he's going to play for the Knicks while urinating all over the Stanley Cup.
The problem is that Bulls management is Special person and doesn't start negotiating restricted free agent contract until they hit free agency. I just simply don't get it. Why not get the player locked up before the season so it's not a distraction?
