I love that this story comes out after everyone has been singing the praises of Noah's winning attitude, unselfishness & intangiables that make him off limits in a trade. You think Noah doesn't read the news? You think his agent doesn't? The NBA is a business. There's no loyalty when it comes to large sums of money. Of course Noah's agent is pushing for more. Any self respecting sports agent would. You can't seriously expect Jo & his agent to sit there & say, "$11mill seems fair", when you're talking about this kid as a cornerstone of your franchise that you won't even include in a trade for a Top 3 scorer.

Good God, Dampier got $14 mill & he doesn't even know he's on the court half the time. He feels his market value is a lil higher, can't say I fault him for that. None of this changes my view of him as a player or person. I mean it's not like he's a holding a press conference @ the Kenilworth Boys & Girls Club to tell us he's going to play for the Knicks while urinating all over the Stanley Cup.

The problem is that Bulls management is Special person and doesn't start negotiating restricted free agent contract until they hit free agency. I just simply don't get it. Why not get the player locked up before the season so it's not a distraction?

Negotiate what? That is a fair offer for a guy who hasn't put together a full season. He tanked it 2/3 of the season before last and was injured a good part of last year. I want to see him do it consistently before opening the bank, espically before a new cba. What does he think he will get next year? 11-12 is far for him. He isn't a real 2 way player.

i want them to low ball it all the way through until rfa. let's match the highest offer that some other team wants to give him under the new cba. we dont need another deng, a good player that's paid a tad bit too much.

Noah is arrogant enough to take the QO and leave. I don't see that working out to well. Its about respect to him but he has to realize he isn't a prime ben wallace.

It's pretttttty safe to say that the Bulls' organization respects Joakim Noah. Especially seeing as they wouldn't even consider trading him away for Carmelo Anthony.

That isn't "respect". That's "overvalue".

i just really hope we dont make this into a deng, noce, hinrich kind of deal. The bulls always tend to over pay their role players.

I get the sneaking suspicion a lot of this is based off of what Ben Wallace got. Noah hated him, thinks he is better and is asking for a 5yr deal of what he got. He also looks over and sees that Boozer got 5/75. I just want to deal him for Melo, dump our bad deal in deng and get Dampier. I'd roll with that and try to get a C from the bobcats pick and develop Asik.
