Any question you can always tell with the embroidered patches. Both the Tommahawk and Indian Head. That's the give away right off the bat.

 1. Chicago White Sox
 1. Chicago Fire
 1. Chicago Bears
 1. Chicago Blackhawks
There were cheap replicas at Chicago Stadium.

Folks haven't given a rat's dick about the pedigree of their jersey for years.

Ok, I laughed at the first line.

Who cares what they were. They look like shit so be it, they look like shit. Just like the asshole at the gas station telling me my Winter Classic Jersey was a cheap fake.. OK asshole, other than the guy on the back actually wore it during the game.

Half our fan base is there to be seen and drink beer. Sound familiar?

That dude was just being an asshole.

The nerve of being an asshole to an asshole. :eek:bscene-sexualvlick:

Did some Timecop time/space continuum open up at the gas station and swallow him whole?

I bet it looked like this:

Don't really give a **** what others wear. I've got 3 replica Blackhawks jerseys. Would love to pick up a game worn Hogs or Hawks jersey. That would be way cool for me, but it's probably out of my reach.

True. Also the Hawks are selling cheap crappy jerseys with iron-on patches for the "C" and tomahawks and they are charging WAY too much for jerseys bit to have this embroidered.

My question goes out again, honestly, by buying a real one does that make you more of a fan??????? Just askin. How many fake fans own a real one, I know there are alot of fake fans with China made jerseys, thats fine...but go back to what I said....look at all those corporate asswhipes, that are there for the ride. you can point them out really quick.

I agree, what about the ones at Dicks sporting goods, or other sports stores that I have seen with iron on C on the shoulders, Indian head not embroidered, they sell those at the stadium too, wouldn't those be considered replicas...since they are not the ones players wear, to me Authentic is what is worn on the field, ice, court....case closed.

There's a difference between NHL sanctioned replicas (the older CCM and newer Reebok jerseys, those usually go between $150-200 with names, numbers, patches ect.) and cheap counterfeits.

Game worn authentics are a whole different ball game.

Use your EYES guys and read!

1. @Ashor I stated repeatedly (and in my opening post) a persons fandom is irrelevant. My primary concern was people getting SCREWED, do to feeding an illegal counterfeit market. There are alot of people that flip the knockoffs to people for double the price, that arent aware they are knock offs, only to find out later they got fleeced.

2. @Grimson see above. If you can't afford it, I get it. Buy a fucking T-shirt or hoody then, don't contribute to an illegal enterprise that fucks unsuspecting people. Because there are people whom if they can't afford the real thing, still dont want to buy a fake.

Lol like I was going to waste my time reading a thread on a subject that's been beaten to death already here.

Do you really think that everyone knows about the 'evil enterprise' of Chinese sweat shop jerseys?

And again if you read here is yet another question you wouldnt have to ask. As I said I never participated in those discussions nor read the threads.

So you werent going to waste your time reading it, but you are going to waste your time commenting. Makes alot of sense.

I'm going to start making my own jerseys out of scraps. That will really piss people off.

I understand the political aspect of it all TSD. My problem is I just don't know what's made in sweat shops anymore and what isn't..including my Hawks T-shits, scarves, hats, toques etc etc. I look at labels for the most part but I'm still sure when something says "made in Canada" or "made in the usa" it's not fully true.

I have said this before too. For some of us a jersey isn't just for hanging on the wall or for pulling out when there is a game. I use my jerseys at work and play. Im not buying a $100.00 plus jersey to go play road hockey in. I'm buying a knock off. I think a lot of people are in the same boat.

I actually have more jerseys I have found in thrift stores than anywhere else. Maybe it's a anadian thing. I can find hockey jerseys in thrift stores all over the place. Authentic or fake. Usually nab authentic ones for less than 40 bucks.

Couldn't you make the same type of argument that paying the hundreds of dollars for what the NHL wants to charge for their jerseys be considered getting fleeced by a league that doesn't give a shit about it's fans, but only about how much they have in their wallet? Especially in light of their recent behavior over this past year, are they really made out to be that much better?
