exactly.

But if the reason we don't get LeBron is because we didn't get Byron Scott... we all should know EXACTLY who to blame...

"Sources" say that a Wade-Bosh partnership in Chicago is imminent. It was on someone's twitter retweeted by KCJ.

Not "imminent," but quite possible.

Wade Stays Non-Committal Under Bull's Full-Court Press

"No signing imminent," his agent texted Ira Winderman. ... The Bulls can attempt to sign James, Wade, and Bosh, but finances (and reality) dictate they are more likely to snag a Wade-James or Wade-Bosh partnership.

...

What could complicate matters for the Heat, Wojnarowski says, is that Wade and James would like to play together, but neither want to commit to the other's team. That's where Chicago comes in, and where the Bulls sport a roster of young stars like All-Star point guard Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, the Heat have a gaping blank sheet and nothing but cap space. Promising, of course, but nowhere near tangible.

Bosh mixes meetings and tweeting. Rockets wait and wait.

The Heat could put Wade, Bosh and LeBron James all together, and has seemed to be working to that end. But with Wade seeming increasingly serious about the Bulls, the Heat could be coming up empty, with even Amar'e Stoudemire already spoken for, too.

...

If Wade is to make the jump to Chicago, someone could be eager to jump with him. Bosh could do a whole lot worse than joining a team with Wade, Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah (though he might not get his hands on a ball a whole lot with a Rose-Wade backcourt.) James could find the same deal appealing. And they all could try join forces in Chicago, a few pay cuts and sign-and-trades willing.

This can work for the Rockets, however, if Wade and James go to Chicago and there is no sign-and-trade that will work for the Raptors to send Bosh there, too. For that matter, Bosh would want a sign-and-trade to join Wade in Chicago whether James signs on with them or not.

If the Bulls cannot make a sign-and-trade deal with the Raptors (and I've been given mixed messages on that), the Rockets could get lucky with Wade in Chicago and James staying in Cleveland, or with both together with the Bulls. The Bulls' difficulty in getting a sign-and-trade for Bosh might explain their talks with David Lee. They can afford Wade or James with Lee

Wade not ready to commit to Bulls

Wade is seriously considering the Bulls, two sources close to him said. Said one: “It all depends on who he would play with,” as to whether he would take less money to leave Miami. For a Wade partnership in Chicago, “There’s still LeBron hope,” a source said.

...

Sources say Wade is intrigued by the talent the Bulls have to surround him, especially in contrast to how gutted the Heat roster has become in the clearing of salary cap space.

Chicago has a strong nucleus of young players, including Derrick Rose(notes) and Joakim Noah(notes), who with Wade and James would instantly turn the Bulls into a championship contender.

It's not over yet. Remember, nothing can become official until July 8th. Until then, anything can happen.

Just everyone is now thinking James and Wade will stay, and that leads to Bosh going somewhere else.

A lot people have thought different shit as it changes by the minute everyday. Whats the big deal? You guys are down because Bucher and Brossuard think differently then what they did yesterday and its not in our favor? The players control themselves, not analyst and us. If Bron really wants to win, he'll be here. And he'll have a friend with him. Now Monday when we hear any positive news, don't jump for a joy again all of a sudden. And no more of this all of a sudden " Face it, our dreams of being championship contenders are over " or whatever you said, be cool and chillax'. We should be happy enough that OUR team is in the midst of all this superstar talk. Mark my words, Bron and Bosh to Chicago, I've said it all along and I'm sticking to it. No matter what the analysts say. That is all. :dealwithit:

alright, so my question is, when and why did the Cavaliers suddenly become favorites? what rumors came out that made this happen? All I remember is suddenly thinking deeply about Cleveland and then developing doubts, and that's when everyone else did, too. Did Cleveland release millions of airborne microchips or something to make us realize this? IDK what exactly made me think about it...

anyways, i'm liking the rumors, TopekaRoy... even though we are supposed to take them with a grain of salt, these have got me thinking again.

We are just coming off the high of interviewing the best player in the world. Now we are starting to magnify our own faults and also Cleveland's positive sides. It's a coping mechanism designed to make our expectations fall to avoid heart-break.

I don't think I have realized how good Cleveland is, I think I have realized how stupid LeBron James is.

eh, "stupid" in terms of what though? Not from a financial stand-point. Not from a creating your own legacy stand-point. And maybe not even from a Championship contending stand-point...

Sure, Jamison and Mo are no Rose and Noah. But Cleveland has some pretty sick depth and back-to-back 60+ win seasons to show for it. They were definitely legit title contenders last year. Plus, LeBron would EASILY get more money by staying in Ohio...

It wouldn't be the best career move from a team standpoint. It would only be good for the financial side of things. You both are right though.

Why is everyone all of a sudden so pessimistic? What news came out today that made it seem like we're screwed? I got the feeling tonight that we might not get anyone but it wasnt because of any updates...

If we dont get those guys, we get Boozer and Korver. We can be Utah-East. We still have Rose Noah and deng. We will be a good team that could build for a title later rather than now

this.

i dont know why people are panicking about, its not like bosh james wade have signed already.

I don't think he would EASILY make more money. I think we have more to offer with like endorsements and stuff like that.

Also, congrats, he has back-to-back 60+ win season. Remind me again, how many championships?

The endorsements for LeBron are a given wherever he goes. Teams don't offer that.

LeBron becoming #6 in Cleveland alone would make his jersey sales skyrocket- even with the fans who already own his gear. Also, he's going to be making a few million more a year with CLE than he would with CHI.

And not to be one to defend CLE, but how many championships do we have in the past 2 years? Lol... the championship argument is not one Bulls' fans have any leverage on

LeBron is not winning anything with the Cavs because the players around him are not good enough, the best players on there team are getting older (Jamison and Williams) and the Shaqtus will probbaly be gone. They have no room in Free agency besides for LeBron and didnt have a draft pick.

Easily make more money in CLE? I wouldnt say that. He is guaranteed to make more money in CLE contract wise but thats about it. Endorsements will be where ever he goes but why is Nike offering more money if he goes to a bigger market(NY/CHI/LA)? How much more money does he really make in CLE? Yeah its 30M more overall but whos to say Chicago doesnt give him another contract after 5 years? If you compare the #s yearly, it doesnt seem so ridiculous. He can make up whatever he loses in CLE if he comes to Chicago, especially if they win championships. Didnt Forbes already do #s on this?

And Clevelands team is built for the regular season and it has shown. They will only get worse unless they find a way to make moves. LeBron doesnt have a go to guy. He doesnt have anyone reliable in the post-season.

That's a horrible arguement. Did we have Shaq? Did we have Jamison? Did we have James, one of the top players to play this game?

No, no, and enthusiastically, NO.

They are expected to win championship, we aren't. Your other points were pretty good, but not that one.

My point is that they aren't winning championship with James, so I don't even know why you brought up the Bulls.
