I always thought Portillos was way overrated myself, but my experience with Orlando was the only place to get good food was at Disney World...so Portillos is easily Top 5 there.

I think its like a comfort food for people that dont have access to it every day like us. I honestly dont even remember the last time I dined at Portillos.

That's actually not true at all. Orlando has a really good food scene, you just need to know where to look. It's not Chicago, but it's WAY better than people think.

These have been my go to hot dog places:
There are a few, but far between. @Jamais Vu is right, you get spoiled seeing Vienna signs hung out literally everywhere. Definitely comfort food for me.

Speaking of dining in Orlando, I stupidly went online to see if my wife and i could do the whole eat with the Disney Princesses with our daughter. I signed up for 2037. Portillos is alright. When we land in Chicago later and are heading out to be with family it's an easy stop for a beef and a dog.

It's not too pricey. I think i saw like 50 for adults and 30 for kids. So added inflation for 2037, that'll be 95 for adults and 55 for kids.

I should have added that my Orlando experience was over twenty years ago...so WTF do I know. I made some bad assumptions that it was still wall to wall chain joints and for that I apologize, Orlando.
