well, he's only a greencard holder, and there are specific rules--namely that you have to be a citizen to play for the Nats--and he's about 4 years from being eligible for citizenship.

And as far as I know, speeding up citizenship paperwork doesn't really happen. It happens at the green card level, but I don't know about citizenship.
