He also stopped playing physical the day after he called Backus in the hospital. I don't think he ever hit anybody again, and that was pre-extension.
We can't forget that he had two severe concussions too,I recall him being out on his skates after headshots from Wiz and that POS Torres. He seemed to return from both hits quickly but they were before the era of protocol but I do agree with you........he wasn't as physical after he put Backus on the deck of the Titanic........'Wakey wakey.....LOL!

Its if you get the reconstructive surgery like Derek Rose.
If you just cut off, clip off the effected tear, i had a teammate play a rugby game the same weekend, 5 days after I think(but he was a tough as nails South Korean national I also saw play with a blown up wrist two days after a horrific downhill longboarding accident). Usually 2-4 week timetable given.

Reconstruction is potentially better long term if everything goes right but more guys have problems and the rehab is lengthy and cautious.
Thks! Appreciate the info. Hope the surgery works despite what others have written.

To be honest,I supported Seabs 1M raise at the time but I don't see him turning down that deal if it was for five years only and if he did,SB woulda been right and justified in moving him. Looking at that deal closely on CF shows a contract that couldn't have possibly been negotiated any worse that it was. MAX money,MAX term(for a 30yro),MAX clauses and an ongoning bonus structure(29 of the 55M total is in bonuses)that makes a buyout completely useless.
If Seabs only had one year left, his deal would matter little because someone would take a one year shot with a little sweetener but four years remaining makes him untradeable.
Sometimes you feel like your beating a dead horse.

Not going to say I told you so, but Joker had an awful lot going for him before he was traded. I really have no clue why JC didn't like the kid and gave up so quickly.

His rookie year he played like a rookie but you saw on ice refinements, many of which happened the shift after from the kid. There was one game where the camera panned the bench and Keith was being very hand talky to him and the next shift when the puck was frozen you saw him skate to Joker and say "see?" and Joker nodded his head.

Like someone else here, I did watch more Sabres games then I should have last year because Eichel is so much fun to watch and the Joker from the beginning of last year wasn't the player Joker was at the end. He is a legit top four guy in the NHL and is in no way shape or form the equivalent of Nylander in value.

Sorry Stan, this was a dumb move.

There is no doubt the Joker trade has hurt the Hawks. This trade happened because of JC. He and the Joker had a poor relationship and JC wanted him out and the deed was done.

My guess is it was some kind of habits or personality or disciplinary thing they handled in house. Everyone knew Nylander needed a change of scenery, and its possible we just didn't know that Joker needed one for whatever reason.

It's a tale of two coaches and their differing assessment of a 19yro D-man....
Q was a tough 'jury' with young players but he really liked the Joker and had him skatin 1st pair minutes with Keith to start the year. I never thought I'd ever hear Q utter the term "giddy" but that was exactly what he said when asked about the youngster's play before he got the boot 15 games in.
Fast Forward to the wit and wisdom of Jeremy Colliton and the same youngster saw his minutes cut and a few healthy scratches before his demotion........he also said something about the 190lb kid "not having a man body" while playing the 166lb Sikura on JT's line.
The FO floated a 'bad attitude' balloon about the 19yro(how classy)after the trade because the kid wasn't crazy about being sent down and watching Manning,Forsling and Davidson get his NHL minutes.......are any of those three even in the league any more?
Q didn't see this 'bad attitude' and neither did the Finn national coach on his way to a WC title and a very demanding Ralph Krueger played the 20yro D-man in all of em last year......maybe Colliton's just a better coach than the other three guys.

I guess I can root for Q this season down in Florida. Thats a dark horse cup team.

The only thing I really care to know about the Hawks in 2020 is whether or not the FO knows their goaltending sucks or not.

If they know it doesn't bother me as much.

Somebody ask Stan again about the Hawks and advanced analytics so he can smirk and act as coy as a tranny and we can scratch our heads and ask again in 12 months.

Panthers ended up @9 over last year and if 'Bob' can play like the 'Bob' of years past, they'll challenge for a spot. I still woulda liked to see them spend the 5M they ain't payin' Hoffman on a D-man.

This is the same brain trust that allowed the team to go with Forsberg,Berube and Glass for half a year so I'm not sure what they know.

I think we just got better
Man...

I feel really bad about the laughs and jokes and shit now...
It feels like Kirby Dach was our karma for being disgentlemanly and maybe worse, Seabrooke's fridge was probably full of pasta to feed these tykes and now he's gonna have an empty table and eat it all and weigh 275 again.
