I don't know how I feel about paying a RB. History says it's a bad idea. But the thought of Barkley and Fields in the same backfield? That could be dirty. And considering the Bears will likely struggle to find a real game changing WR1 this season, maybe Poles does go this route.

I get the temptation. I’m tempted too sometimes. But that’s money that could go to a starting lineman on either side. Chiefs rode a 7th rounder to the SB. The key is to have a stable of three quality cheap RBs.

I don't think it's the direction I would go tbh, but if it does happen I won't be upset about it.

At this point I am leaning JSN in the first or Josh Downs in the 2nd and then picking up Kuntz 3rd or 4th round. Address OL in FA and later in draft and use the other early picks on DL.
