The Lions pairing Okudah with Gonzalez or Weatherspoon would not be fun.

Okudah didn't look like an unmitigated bust this last year so good for him. Corner makes the most sense for them with DJ Moore now in the division, and man they're lucky the Rams fell apart this year.

It pains me to say it, but I agree with DBB there. The trade doesn't have to have a winner and loser. A good trade can allow both sides to "win" and get what they wanted from the deal and be successful. I really do think this trade is an example of that.

**** em - they're going to be terrible next year and we're going to have an awesome pick because of it.

After 2024, sure - I hope they do great for themselves/

Make that after 2025. We want a good return on that 2025 second round pick.

Despite how often we hear about the Claypool trade, the difference between a high 2nd and mid 2nd really isn't worth all of the consternation.

But really, they wanted to get in the QB business and might trade back - if they wind up with Levis/Richardson with Jacoby Brissett they're going to fucking suck. They don't have a single playmaker and truthfully Indy wasn't churning out guys at a crazy clip so no matter who they run out there - they're gunna struggle mightily next year and it's going to be so fun to watch.

If Carter falls to us and turns out to be a beast, that would just be a filthy nasty return on the 1st overall pick trade.

What if Carter was there at 9 and the Steelers offered #17, #32 and #49?

Personally, I’m probably taking that deal.

I would take Carter in that scenario. But if he’s gone I’m open to another trade down

I don't know. Guess we'll find out on draft night what actually happens.
