Honestly when the Texans fire Lovie and cut Mills I would hire Lovie as a Senior defensive consultant and Mills as the backup QB.

Bears are in the catbird seat in free agency and the draft. I’m hopeful Chicago is an attractive enough destination that some free agents choose to come here. I’m so happy how everything worked out this season. I wish Bears had some more solid starter caliber dudes already on the roster, but forget that for now. This roster and franchise are about to be transformed quite a bit.

They did it. Or they didn’t do it, but the Texans did, and the season that the new Bears administration designed from the start to catalyze their rebuild has ended just about ideally.
