I can’t remember, did the opposing team get pressure more from the edge or from the middle?

I feel like Ngakoue is extremely underrated. Dude is only 27 years old and already has 65 career sacks.

I haven’t watched him much but he must absolutely blow at run defense because the guy can’t stick anywhere

Run Grades per PFF
2016 - Worst
2017 - 6th worst
2018 - 11th worst
2019 - 2nd worst
2020 - 5th worst
2021 - Worst
2022 - 5th worst

It is impressive he is so consistently bad at run D. Having said that happy to sign him as a pass rush specialist at the right price.

Next year’s cap won’t be an issue because Whitehair and EJax should both be gone.

Jewels to get a case of Squirt
They have about $23m in dead cap for 2023, that number will be far lower in 24 and whatever is left dead will contribute to extra cap space via cuts, eg Whitehair would leave about $4m dead but would free up $9m, or if cut this year pre June 1 would free up $13m next year.

Bears only had 20 sacks last year, so would do that in a heartbeat.

I don’t see the point of signing a FA Wr, especially for a 1-2 year deal. Draft a Wr and develop him to take over for Claypool and/or Mooney. What’s the benefit of bringing in Chark?
The main benefit imo is all but ensuring ESB isn’t your primary backup at X like I said in my original post. Chark is also only 26 yr old so it’s not like he’s an over the hill WR who’s best days are well behind him. ESB should be running as few routes as possible. Right now if Moore were to go down (knock on wood) at least we know Mooney can fill in at Z.

I do agree with drafting and developing a WR. Personally I really like Jayden Reed as a mid 3rd to early 4th rounder.

He’s been trying to get out of Houston for a while now. This trade was on him. Can’t speak to others

Yep, he was very close with that snake Jack Easterby who somehow Littlefingered himself from team chaplain to VP of football ops in Houston. Once Jack finally got canned (several years too late), Cooks wanted out.
