What a shitshow. Love could have setup a fuckin lawn chair in the pocket... I think I saw a Bears player touch his jersey 2 or 3 times the whole game...

Also... was it just me or did it seem like the Bears offense showed up without a game plan?? Like what in the actual ****? Where was Moore? Where was Claypool? Did the Packers defense shut down all possible slant options? The Trubisky method worked... and worked well... Same gameplan has worked against Bear's QBs by Green Bay for 20 fucking years.

Bears Dline needs major overhaul.
Bears middle 3 Olinemen need replaced.

Flus's defense is too basic and relies entirely too much on talent. We need a defensive scheme that can mask the shallow talent pool the Bears are currently operating with. (good thing we hired a defensive minded head coach??)

Only saving grace... Love isn't the next great QB... In a couple years, if/when the Bears finally accumulate enough talent on the defensive line to be able to apply pressure on Love, he'll fold like a cheap suit.

but I'm not convinced that someone who played a position knows anything about how to draft, trade, or develop that position. They are all completely out of their depths.
^This.

Building the team backwards/trenches last looked every bit as stupid yesterday as it did all offseason. Having two highly paid linebackers means jack fucking shit when your pass rush can't get home, short of one play by Ngokue.

At the end of the day, the bears did nothing to make Jordan Love's life difficult. Vanilla, soft 4-3 in an era where having 3 LBs on the field is asinine and asking to get taken advantage of by speed is quintessential bears.

Love wasn't asked to do anything difficult - I saw two "big-boy" passes and the rest were throws that lacked touch, and tended to be a result of his teammate making a great play. Maybe that's me still on sour grapes.

Our offense looked like a Nagy offense, minus the hook patterns. I am happy that Nagy... I mean Getsy... still called running plays through the game.

In the end, it's one game and they can use this to adjust and come out better next week. But wow, that second half felt like chewing sand.

Yeah Love was pretty inaccurate, was thinking in the first half this is a race between the Bears and Packers for last place.. Unfortunately Love got better in the 2nd half

Eddie Jackson looked like he had zero clue what was going on, which is fucking crazy. I kinda assumed safety play was going to be good at the very least… boy I was wrong. LaFleur fucked up this system right off the bat.

Unprepared and outcoached in every phase. Not sure how you have months to prepare and look like you spent no time preparing.

The play call on 3rd and 1 on the first drive told me Getsy is out of his depth.

Getsy just plain sucks, How many rollouts (to help the line) and medium to long passes did we see during the game? His play calling is very predictable. Not impressed at all with this coaching staff.

Can we fire everyone at CCS too? Not being able to vent live caused me to drink even more to get past this train wreck yesterday.
Why couldn't you vent live? We had our Chat room open

Williams gets the "Bum of the Day" award, but it was really competitive. How do you not blitz a totally inexperienced QB when you're getting no pressure with 4. and your secondary/coverage LBs are the best aspect of your team? How many long third downs did they convert? Had to be 6+.
On the Jones TD it looked like they were playing man-cover one, but only 4 guys were rushing. That should be impossible.

Getsy, with his smoke routes, lack of play action, overall training wheels/scared play calling. He gets second place. Not force feeding the ball to Moore.

Pretty much all the players were bad as well. Special mention to Edwards, who got owned several times in pass coverage, and to Whitehair, who was getting owned all day. Both OTs were meh. Fields was under pressure but clearly also struggling to see what was happening.

Obviously just a terrible game. Roschon was the only interesting thing, really.

Both of our lines were outmatched. I knew the game was over on our first drive. And then you start to add in the cute playcalling, the reluctance to ever try to push the ball downfield. 4-man rush never getting any pressure, and never trying to blitz a QB that clearly isn't very good.

All of our draft picks need to go do DL/OL for the next few years. Lol.

A lot of teams had very bad days yesterday. I'm hoping this was just a very bad day. But this might be who the Bears are.

The Packers only had four healthy CB's. I would have definitely tested them more than just four passes beyond 10 yards. ?‍♂️

It’s the same staff and mostly the same unit from last year. This game was their Super Bowl to show its a “new beginning” and that last year means nothing, but instead we got a big fat reminder that this a 3 win team with 1 good addition, a ton of middling-bad additions, and some rookies. Narrative and reality is this team is 3-15 and the entire coaching staff should probably update their LinkedIns.
