I could literally see where Gervon reverted back to bad college habits. You could really see his level of comfort mirroring set in. We do have average to good coaching on the dline. That mirroring technique should be able to be coached out. Bad habits do die hard though.

I’m going to be focusing on Darnell and the interior oline with an explicit nod to Ja’tyre Carter and Kramer.

On the flip side Pickens showed up with raw and athleticism a non stop motor and he has high end speed for a DT.

Sometimes with sheer ability a DT can become successful.

Unfortunately that's not necessarily a reason for optimism. You can jog around all day on a pulled or strained hamstring, but when you go to *dig* for speed, it re-pulls. I am honestly hoping he stays out until October.

Good question, I agree with the injury risk. Probably just want to give some more opportunity to work on the left side. Besides, you know he just wants to hit someone.
