I gotcha. It’s possible…and if they can get Jenkins, I could get on board. Other than that, i don’t see any reason to cut him.

If the Bears do get Jenkins, do they explore the possibility of Cody at C? Not a ton of options in FA, and it’s probably their biggest need. Cody is a decent C, although his snapping issues are worrisome. Sign Conklin too and let’s roll

Jones(or Borom)/Jenkins/Cody/Teven/Conklin
Jenkins played center in college and has a little bit at GB after an injury. Probably not ideal but he can play at a high level all over the line, one of his most important traits.

C is the position they have to prioritize close to the top of the list. Need a good anchor on that line. Mustipher has no business starting on an NFL roster.

Bradley Bozeman. As mentioned, Jenkins would be great as well. Conklin at RT.

It’s time for the Bears to invest heavily in the OL for a change.

He has before but that's not his best use.

I think they are going to give Jones every opportunity at LT. I think they will expect him to get stronger this offseason and be much better next year.

They better bring in some comp then in the draft. Maybe bring back Reiff too as insurance. If the Bears sign Conklin I like the idea of Borom as the swing tackle.

I'd love to see them address OL (jenkins/conklin/Wynn and hudson/morse/bozeman) and DL (payne/onyemata and chubb/davenport/ngakoue) in FA. Then take Carter rd 1 and load up on wr after that. Let roquan walk/trade him and look at much cheaper options like littleton/perryman/alexander

I don't think they will have any use for Reiff. I do think they will bring in competition for sure, someone better than Reiff as either an established starter or draft pick competition. To me, they absolutely need a bonafide starter at IOL. You've got Whitehair and Jenkins, and then noone who should be starting. There is alot of potential with Jones and Borom and I'd like to see how much they improve through this year.

Bozeman is pretty heavy to the gap power side in terms of his skill set. I was also a little surprised there was so little interest in him last offseason.

There’s like 3 FA LT according to spotrac so not sure a vet option is realistic. Most likely will be draft pick competition.

With all the cap space the Bears have and the FA WR class being a total dud, I think the majority of their big signings need to be OL. Go big on Jenkins and Conklin. Then some short term/low GTD upside deals to fill out the rest of the roster.

1st round pick is likely going to be DL or WR. I’m assuming they pick in the top 10.

If the trend with Jones and Borom continues then I swap them during the bye week. Jones is 2nd in the NFL in pressures with 20 and Borom is tied for 6th least at 6. Jones also actually grades out as a much better run blocker than Borom right now. May be that the best alignment then is Borom at LT and Jones at RT.

Perhaps, but we know he can play in the league and can sustain a pocket. I don’t think I can bear watching Mustipher play 1 more snap.

Yes, there has to be a replacement for sure. And Bozeman would be alright at the right price,

That would be fine, I meant competition at OT, not LT. LT is always slim in FA.

If they signed Jenkins, DaRon Payne, and maybe Conklin, that would be great. I'm not a huge fan of the IDL draft class past Carter this year and they absolutely need a real IDL, not sure they are going to be able to get a real 3tech. Might have to wing it again.
