Meh. One guy has defenders on top of him, the other had defenders running to the sideline. This seems very selective for the sake of narrative building.

Think the issue for me is no one even tries to help him up. The dude who Robinson beat and thus should feel guilty just looks down at Lance and sprints off the field :ROFLMAO:

McGlinchey. As a ND fan, I will never understand how he went 9th overall. He can't handle speed rushers at all.

The SF Front Office had to approach the locker room and make players commit to Lance no matter how bumpy it is. Keeping Jimmy G was not a good decision.

Barnett out for the year for Eagles. Wonder if they make calls on Quinn as they appear ready to compete now and if Robinson is the real deal then Quinn is not a must keep.
FFS, they just won week 1 against a playoff contender, the Bears are not selling this early.

FFS, never said to trade him right now. I said I wonder if Eagles make calls on Quinn and said we should consider it if Robinson is the real deal. That would suggest you start the conversation now but would need to see Robinson play a few more games as well as the Eagles seeing how the pass rush looks without Barnett. A call is not a trade.

Well Jimmy could be wearing the star on his helmet in the very near future.

So you are wondering if the Eagles make multiple "calls" and ask, "Hey Ryan, this Howie Roseman, GM for the Eagles. We had an injury at DE this weekend and was wondering if,
in a few weeks our pass rush sucks,
and if in a few weeks your rookie Robinson looks like a stud,
and if you are losing and want to admit you are tanking the season,
if you might be interested in trading Robert Quinn?
That is,
if in a few weeks he looks like he still is a difference maker,
and if he isn't injured,
and if we aren't completely tanking,
and if we don't have better options.

Kay, Thanks. Call me."

You can stop wondering, that call is not happening.

They are not wrong and I'm on record as Fields being a top 3 pick but it's really early for Lance and he's plenty athletic and has very good mechanics. His pocket step up and awareness is surprising for his reps. It will be difficult to determine his overall goodness until next year.
Even with the shit offense Fields had to put up with last year, I think he is still a year ahead of Lance. If the 9ers fail to make the playoffs this year, a load of shit is coming Lance's way next offseason.

I wouldn't say Lance has very good mechanics, but I thought he showed some promise and wasn't as raw as I expected.

I'm not sure if his situation is as ideal as people say with Shanahan as the coach. Seems weird that they cleared the way for Lance to start but then brought back Jimmy G. They're just asking for a divided locker room at this point, especially if the losses pile up.

I'm sure that's true but if so, it should all be directed at the staff.

They biggest reason they brought Jimmy back was because they couldn't trade him at what his salary was at that time and because he agreed to redo his contract at a pretty significant pay cut. Can't remember what that pay cut was and don't feel like looking it up but they did try trading him.

You are being stupid. I am wondering if they will have interest in Quinn if their pass rush struggles as a result of the injury. Not that complicated.

No you are moving the goal posts. You didn't "wonder if they will have interest if their pass rush struggle" you

Maybe having interest in a few weeks is a reasonable thought, wondering if they are calling about Quinn's availability after a week 1 win by the Bears is what is being stupid. Hey Baltimore is always prepped to make a run, wonder if they are making calls to Poles about Jaylon Johnson.

Lol, you are being dense. After a major injury like that, a GM may call Poles to see what the current asking price is and to let Poles know to check in with him if the market on Quinn picks up over the next few weeks. You wait before letting Poles know of possible interest and he may be traded to someone else as you have no idea as you can't just assume Poles will cheap him or that there aren't existing talks he may have had prior the season and may come to fruition.

He gets a little jumpy when the pocket starts condensing. It's one of the big things he needs to work on to take next setp imo. , he ( the guy on twitter ) also has no idea what route mooney is running. that looked covered to me, if it was an option route it wouid ahve been very close to Fields getting sacked/releasing the ball and the corner route was bracketed anyway.

I agree generally that he is too jumpy but on that play in particular, Musty is being pushed back and think Fields thinks he will eventually get pushed back far enough to where he cant step up. The DT only stops pushing Musty back and disengages because Fields scrambled. So to your point, he is not going to have enough time to wait on Mooney to open us as if he had stayed put Musty likely gets pushed back to where he doesn't have space to follow through on a throw.
