ESB had one catch and fumbled the ball and this guy is convinced on him already lol
I feel like he's pining for a job on the ESPNs

He can't praise Jones because it's been against mostly backups. Ok, I can see his point.

But then he tweets ESB has more in that tank than he thought...but it's been against mostly backups.

To be fair, Browns did play starters at S and CB.

I don't think Greg Newsome started, don't know if Ward played either but did see J.Johnson out there.

Edit: pretty sure Grant Delpit got hurt early in the 1st quarter and didn't return as well.

Not at cb. Ward and Newsome both sat
Newsome is expected to be their nickel back last I heard. Emerson and Greedy both 6-2 are expected to play on the outside opposite Ward. Both starting Safeties played.

Newsome’s role on Cleveland’s defense is set to change in his second year after having an excellent rookie campaign. With Troy Hill traded back to the Los Angeles Rams, Newsome will slide inside as the team’s primary nickel cornerback in 2022.

The Browns took outside cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. with their first pick, No. 68 in the third round, despite it being a position of strength. They removed a quality player from the pile the next day, trading veteran nickelback Troy Hill to the Rams for a fifth-round pick in 2023.

So yeah think the plan is for Emerson and Williams to play outside and Newsome in the slot. St Brown plays outside so unlikely to be lined up against Newsome but rather one of Williams or Emerson. So 3/4s of the starting secondary played.

Correct, I hope he becomes a contributor on offense.

*but I hope he stops the fumbles. It didn't seem to be an issue in GB, but he didn't see many touches in his 3 years there

Don't think anyone will claim Leatherwood and take over his guaranteed contract. Johnson and Watts would be the two guys I like from this list.
Would love to see Watts with the Bears, he seems to be a better fit in this scheme than the Vikings.
