Outside of Belichick/Carroll there isn't much of ringing endorsement for 2nd time coaches. Unless it's Dave Wannstedt. And one could argue that Belichick wasn't all that bad in CLE. Modell moving the team was the downfall of Belichick's first gig

One could argue that tor many first time HCs, it was probable more about ownership and the GM than the HC for the failure.

Trust me. Flying private is SO MUCH nicer than public, even first class. I didn’t know he was around but I went to U Miami in about 2003 when they were coming off the top of football hierarchy.
He was phenomenal for them. They were favored by like 50 points every week.
That move to the ACC kind of set off the entire conference shift cascade.
I’d like to interview him and see his offensive ideas, how smart he comes off.
