I don't get how anything has really changed from that article. He is taking quotes from the PFT article that indicated no interest from the Bears and then saying that the school president that he had issues with was fired. How does any of that increase the chances the Bears want him?
Not him but DDB says that Harbaugh called the Bears and inquired last season when he was going through the contract restructuring.

Says there are mutual relationship on both sides

Which I can see since he was a player here and the Bears drafted him, he also has history with Phillips and George-

I just have a funny feeling there might be some truth there.

Lambert is just selling papers

Fair enough. And it is true that sometimes they keep college coach interviews quiet to not hurt recruiting. I just find it hard to believe for the case of Jim Harbaugh that all parties would be able to keep their mouths shut if they did interview him.
There is no reason to believe George, Polian or Harbaugh would be announcing to the media that he interviewed.

I think, simply given the timeline of interviews they have acknowledged, that they could not have talked to him at this point, and I have no idea if there's a chance they will. Writers have said he's a top candidate and a "no chance" and everything in between.

Also, about that PFT article on Harbaugh. I had to laugh at the headline and then in the article "Jim Harbaugh’s wandering NFL eye arises from desire to win a Super Bowl"

In other late breaking news, water is still wet.

Word on the street is Harbaugh can only interview after 8PM and the bears have tried 3 times to keep Polian awake that late. Hoping to make it happen next week.

That Buffalo offense looks so bad I would hate to have the guy who built it himself with a defensive head coach above him work with my young QB.

its all Josh Allen. Look at Daboll’s career before him. I will say we could do a lot worse though, like Frazier. I’d be meh about Daboll but certainly not depressed if he was hired.

It’s almost like Dabboll helped develop Allen. He always had the talent but to suggest he didn’t have help putting it all together from his coaching is asinine. It takes a lot more than talent to be a successful nfl QB.

Josh Allen is great, no doubt but at least on the first two drives, Daboll's done a great job keeping the Patriots off balance. They're moving the ball at will against the best defensive coach in the game.

Great play calling and clearly has helped Allen grow as a QB. Bears are allergic to both though.

What exactly makes it look good to you, other than Allen doing everything, and mostly outside the pocket? Like, what specifically about Daboll's offense do you like?

It’s aggressive and the Patriots have absolutely no idea what’s coming next. There are wide open receivers all over the field. Sometimes you don’t need to over complicate what’s in front of you.

It's just Allen out there balling like a manchild and his mobility is what's keeping the Pats off balance. Not sure it's possible to tell about the scheme so far. But dude did develop Allen, no doubt about that.

Harbaugh wants to be GM/HC. Probably not an option unless there is no GM candidate Bears are in love with or if there is one willing to take a back seat.

If he does not get control of the 53 then Harbaugh will take more money to run the whole show at Michigan.

The play calling has certainly been good too. Not afraid to push the ball down field which is a strength of Justin’s. At this point Dabboll is winning the coaching battle vs Billy B. That’s nothing to snob at.

It sounds stupid but calling the simple plays on early, short yardage downs is something that is so underrated. Too many coaches try to get cute when they've got a 2nd and 3 instead of just trying to extend the drive. Not only that, when you find something that works, like Singletary off-tackles, keep going to it until they stop it.

i wasn’t suggesting that, I was just talking about this game at the time I wrote it.
