Only flaw you can fault him for tonight he made Steve Nash look like the NBA DPOTY. His 1v1 defense is awful.

He has only been playing 6 games and these teammates are new it is kind of ridiculous to expect him to be so efficient yet. Anyway normally the best pgs pile up TOs because they always have the ball and have to make so many decisions with the ball. Criticizing this kid is ridiculous he went from being cut to the starting pg of the Knicks over night and he has done an excellent job of learning on the fly.

But what can we say haters gonna hate

I know I wish my team had him at pg.

You can't criticize Lin because he came from the D-League? Puh-leez. He is turning the ball over at a very high rate (even for a PG). I understand the situation he's in & it's does play a factor, but people are blowing his performances waaaay out of proportion. Anyone remember Flip Murray in 03-04? Averaged 20ppg when Allen went down, then promptly fell off the face of the earth the following season. Not saying that will happen with Lin, but let's not make this kid out to be a perennial all-star & top PG just yet. It's simply too early for that.

Once teams figure out his tendencies & gameplan for him, his numbers are not going to remain so high. Plus, this all doesn't matter if he can't play with Melo. One things for sure, when Melo gets back, there's absolutely NO WAY that Lin is taking 20+ shots per game.

Don't take this as me hating on Lin, cuz I'm not (kid has got talent), I'm just not 100% sold on him yet.

Expect him to start over Rose next year in the all star game. If a Yao Ming can do it with a broken foot year after year so can Lin regardless of play. He has the 2 largest media markets voting for him all of Asia and New York.

I also expect him to get a massive shoe deal from some company his shoes are gonna sell like crazy in Asia.

Which is why I am against the public voting for the all star game.

I'm waiting for the day he falls flat on his face...only to fall back into obscurity.

I dunno, man. The guy obviously has a lot of talent. To think he can keep up this pace of 25 points and 10 assists every night would be foolish, but this guy is really amping his team up and is forcing his teammates to play at an extremely high level. Having him on the floor gives the Knicks the best chance to win.

Anthony, Stoudemire and... Lin? Our new big three?

Based on this years voting. Wade would be the starter out, not Rose.

The real test for Lin will be next Thursday when they play Miami. Next week in general is a good test as they play Dallas and Atlanta as well.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  2. Oakland Raiders
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
playing in NY is definitely playing a part in the Lin hype as well. If he was doing the same exact thing but it was for a small market team, he'd definitely get some hype because he's been playing well... but it wouldn't be like it is now.

Take Jennings' rookie year for example. That first month he had was great, and it got hyped quite a bit. but it wasn't like the Lin hype is now. Plus, the Jennings hype went away pretty quickly when he started playing poorly for a couple of weeks after that huge stretch of games he had. Imagine if Jennings played in NY instead of MIL at the time. That hype would have been insane.

Lin does deserve SOME of this hype though. he really came out of nowhere and has been THE reason he Knicks have won their last 6 games. Plus he's done it without Melo and amar'e for the most part.

only thing is the team they have faced.. which haven't been great teams, as pointed out.

I think the Lin hype will die down in about a month... and if he starts playing like shit for a good stretch, NY will turn on him almost as fast as they hyped him.

Bill Ingram: The reason the Pacers aren’t pursuing JR Smith has everything to do with character, and nothing to do with ability. Twitter

JLin is at it again off to a great start may get 10 assists before the end of the first he makes his teammates so much better. His defense is awful though he needs to work on his help D and his 1v1 D
