Sorry it took so long. Was dealing with the last of the harvest and removing all my Boveda packs cause @ruprecht has me freaked out on whether I should use them or not.

Anyway I am using 12 gallon tubs instead of 5 gallon buckets. Just easier to change the water. And they have a lower profile. Every inch is vital. This is what I use to change the water;

I am using 300 GPH pumps...10 bucks each on Amazon. Each container has a pump and aerator. I just bought a 6 line manifold to control the airflow. My fan is a 4 inch adjustable and the tent is just a normal tent. I do regret not buying a tent with a view window. Everything combined I have about a 1000.00 dollars invested.

P.S. If you are going 6x6 I would recommend either 2 315W CMH setups or the 600 Watt. And you definitely want the lamps enclosed with the fan blowing through them because of the heat they give off.

They work well for controlling RH sir, which is the main concern I think. Terpene claim I doubt but have not had time to elaborate....

-terpene levels vary wildly even on the same plant, so 15% more in the Boveda jar means little
-margin of error in testing labs is about 20%, and some labs well, suck

Maybe they don't absorb terpenes. However, no way they are stopping them from coming off (and escaping with every jar opening). What you smell when you crack it, is terpenes.
Been in the industry for 4 years and work every day with isolated terpenes and whole essential oils and associated formulating.

The Boveda packs ARE regulating your humidity though.

Don't worry about it. I don't own, I rent and while my landlord is pretty hip and all (he is Jamaican)...he would very much appreciate me holding off until New Years Day when it becomes 100% legal for me to do so. I usually get a bonus in January as well, so it would be a good time to shop for equipment. Will update as the time comes. Got to admit, looking at my room and looking at those pics...6x6 may be a little too ambitious. 4x4 seems like it would nestle into the corner of the room I have free nicely.

Do you in your vast experience believe Boveda packs affect the smell and taste as I seem to read everywhere? I used them last year and people did say my jars did not smell correctly. Pot was just fine and dandy though.

My first plant overdried before I got a chance to do the final trim so I put a piece of lettuce in each jar and a Boveda pack and left them overnight and almost every jar was 61-65 RH the next morning. I truly believe that without the packs the RH would have been in the high 70's without so I definitely agree on the RH.

So Boveda says NOT to burp the jars. I believe this is what the debate comes down to. Is there something taking place when you burp the jars that is needed for the smell and aroma? Question of the decade.

Great timing, just finished processing (dry-trimming and jarring with the Boveda packs) about a half-pound of Maui and Mordor. I had 2 massive colas of Amherst Sour Diesel which had the rot and sadly I had to green-waste them.

How goes your harvest?

Everything is jarred. I chose not to use the Boveda packs this year and am dutifully burping jars twice a day. I lost about a pound off my second plant due to my mysterious overnight death of half the plant but I still have about 3 lbs split with my son.

Anyone want to buy a Mighty Vape let me know. My son got one and does not like it. Been used 3 times. Sell it for 250

Friend just offered to trade me a few mature cannabis plants of my choosing for one of my cultivated wild ginseng sappings. Extremely uneven trade (in his favor), but I figure pot plants will be inflated as hell here to start the year if I wanted to grow any at all. After all, I'm not a user of any sort, but I also don't use ginseng.
So here are my basic logistics. I just expanded one fully populated greenhouse to add another 2x12 space this summer (all white tarp about 6.5' of clearance from the ground, this is an expansion around the exterior wall), and should finish moving everything before *next* winter. That means in reality, I could keep 2-3 plants without jogging the little ecosystem in place.

I'm not a weed buff. Not a smoker, also I don't live under a rock and know the claims and talking points. So regardless of how I acquire plants, I need to decide what it is that I will be investing my time and space into. He is my friend, and I do trust him. As smart of a botanist as I have ever met, we both are avid houby-ists, I doubt he would burn me.
He suggests bluefire for me, whether I use it or pass it off. Says it's the best one he has and it took him a while to get the plants going that he has because its not as common here. No idea, honestly, I just don't know.

What I am intrigued by, are some of the strains/hybrids that are highly efficient for O2 conversion, and the problem with pot farmers, is none of them really keep up with O2, and just throw blanket statements about how all of them are good, or just grow hemp, no data, no science, no help in trying to pick the best of a variety. Sorry for the winded wall of text and back story, but really, this is where I am right now. I want to find others like me who have a list of O2 conversion rates with strain specifics. I have some excellent plants now, but they are simply too thirsty to be effective through a drought and are ineffective in the winter, even in a greenhouse. Seems like this is a common issue with the top layer of realistic O2 converting plants, also where cannabis has presented itself as a promising exception. Anyone have a good source, not just a blog for blogs sake with solid data on strains with O2 conversions and metrics.

Only one thing you can do. Boveda packs. They should keep the RH at or near 62% as long as they aren't to wet or to dry when you jar them up. Unless you have a friend that can burp them for you.

I put them on my smoker grates across open cardboard boxes so they can breathe. That is just the nugs. I toss the sugarleaves directly into jars as long as the plant has dried.
