Yes they do but Stevens has made it known he doesn't like the bullshit that boosters put you thru as a coach.

Frans taken the program to new levels. I get it, outside looking in, probably not sexy or a great reputation. You didnt have to watch Todd Licklighter try and coach a team lol.

For sure. I guess my overall point is, recruiting to the U of Iowa is not easy lol. At the end of the day it’s Iowa. Frans done a great job making them relevant. Same goes for Ferentz. They will never be a powerhouse in any sport so anytime they get national recognition there’s an extension it seems.
could it be better? Sure. But it could also be much much worse is what I’m saying.

True. On one hand, as I read of payouts for hires that were "home runs" at the time, but actually weren't - Archie Miller gets $10 million - it seems unnecessary to go 7 years out. But actually, you know what you have and are not going through the search and hoping to hit on the next guy. Bird in the hand, I suppose.
I just can't see the crazy man lasting that long in any one spot, but who knows.

After Michigan State knocked off Michigan and everybody was all “oh look out for Izzo in March“ I said they would not win another game and they went 0-2 after that against two very mediocre teams.
