One of my aunts... but I've met others.

I learned to make at least a few hot dogs more/less unmarked when I man the grill at my mom's house.

This is why people boil hot dogs as adults

or microwave

btw, Wilfred Brimley is at my house telling me that the Sour Dough bread I just toasted and butter ain't good for my diabetes. :)

Grilled some marinated sirloin tip and some Tbones. There was a sale on the sirloin, grilled some and the rest, sous vide and sear for some cold cuts this week. The sous vide ended up medium rare (yum yum).

For dinner, carmelized some onions in a pan if anyone that wanted some, made some garlic chive compound butter. steamed broccoli, some on the grill baked potatoes.

Still trying to get the rest of the fam to understand to let the meat rest, don't know if they will ever learn. I let mine rest 20 min and it was phenomenal.

I do think the best of all of it will be the cold roast beef I will be having for sandwiches this week. It truly is unbelievable tasting, sous vide it with garlic, salt, pepper, and rosemary. then searing it on a 600 deg grill...
What kind of sous vide machine do you use?

Any recommendations on it, the process etc.

I'm big on my smoker and the grill but keep hearing about how perfect food comes out of the sous.

Went to a casual event today, and a guy filled a whole grill with smoked trout. REALLY good stuff.

Very random but vaguely on topic. If anyone ever vacations to Alaska you have to go to a salmon bake. There were several removable grill grates over a huge fire pit stuffed with salmon filets that were swimming that morning. I must have eaten $150 of salmon that was better than at any restaurant around here.

They look excellent, how'd they taste?

I slow bake mine in the oven at low temp and finish them on the grill. They never turn out the same but still good.

Guessing a 4 pounder? So 6 hours?

I made arrachera for lunch. Was going to take a picture, but the smell was so awesome that I forgot and just made my tacos. :)

5.5lb... I always give pork butt 7-8 hours.... internal temp is at 145 right now.... I figure 3-4 more hours, I was trying to have it ready by 7.

I also put a meaty af rack of ribs on, ill post pics.
