Well the price per pound math adds up. That's got to be the best deal on brisket I've ever seen
So update. My easter Birkshire ham was amazing. since then I've ordered twice more - they have pastuered AIR CHILLED chickens for Aldi chicken prices. Got 3 of those whole birds and a couple packages of thighs, kept half that frozen but what I cooked was all awesome.

Getting that prime brisket today for the weekend. What was picked was only 10 lbs (not 15) but plenty for a few meals for the fam. Threw a grassfed leg o lamb on that order for bbqing next weekend. This place is LEGIT AF. Now the grocery trip is just pantry staples and produce, won't be buying meat on those trips because the wildfork stuff is just amazing quality, or from area specialty butcher because local one doesn't even have birkshire pork, and the beef is easily 2-3 x the cost of this company.

IHSA doing a spring football season has really thrown me off as far as projects go. I've been wanting to get in and clean the grill and smoker, but just haven't had the time/energy to do it. It's going to have to be this weekend, because I have a jones for some burgers.

Have you ever/do you grind your own? I've done it with the kitchenaid mixer attachment and it's a little messy but totes worth it, but this spring I'm looking to start up sausage making on a larger scale to level up for an Oktoberfest bash we're planning (invite to you and yours forthcoming in the premium discord channel when we firm things up) and want to have my own brats/mets to serve. So i'll be either looking for a used commercial grinder/stuffer combo or go to cabela's to cop one.

More stuff for storage but less mess = more frequent sausage sessions and more sausage-oriented forced family fun time.

Embarrassingly, I do not own a Kitchenaid, so I've never ground my own. I normally do a mix by hand. I'm thinking about throwing in some chopped bacon to the mix to try it out.

Neat. Sorry nobody gave you a kitchenaid as a wedding gift. that's wack.

But bacon into your mix is great. I've been doing that with smashburgers lately, because the grassfed ground i get is so lean. I actually throw bacon into a food processor and it turns into a meat goo, then incorporate that into the ground beef. tastes bacony and texture is really crisp. I'm looking forward to upgrading the new place with a commercially range AND vent so that these burgers don't smoke/grease up the whole house.

My wife keeps promising that she'll get me a Blackstone but keeps moving the goalposts on it.

Holy **** he's even more Special person when he actually tries to discuss something. This is hilarious, more cooking tips please. I want to give myself E. Coli and burn my house down at the same time. Never before has the meme been more appropriate.ccs2.png

ask her which is cheaper - high btu range w/griddle and having that vented properly, or the outdoor propane rig...

I put very few things on my registry, but this was one that I really wanted and didn't received. My friends and family are dead to me.
