Going to watch a minor league game tonight in Rockford. They are in an independent league (which means they aren't affiliated with any of the MLB clubs) but at one time or another we had the Class A team for the Expos, Royals, Cubs and Reds.
I was going through all the players that actually played in Rockford at some point and I was quite surprised. There's enough to field an entire 25-man roster.
Johnny Damon, Mike Sweeney, Jon Garland, Matt Stairs, Austin Kearns, Jose Molina, Adam Dunn just to name a few. Even Mike Quade managed the Rockford Expos in 1989.
Also many of them played with Cubs or Sox at the ML level at some point in time.
