You could try taking it up with your Athletic Director. That worked sometimes when I was in high school and something needed to be resolved.

I'd definitely get in touch with him. If he's a good AD, he'll get it worked out in the best way possible. I was lucky enough to have a really well-respected and involved AD in high school.

I like the one we have, so hopefully he can change things, but it might not happen because the other kids mom is assistant AD :smh: so favoritism is showed often

That shouldn't have any bearing on the situation, but unfortunately people's opinions and fairness are often skewed and blinded because of that. I guess I was lucky to be the captain, so I was held in higher regard sometimes. Lol

Then things should be worked out so that you both can play. Suspending a team captain should be the last resort, unless it's a major violation, which this obviously doesn't sound like it.
