I can't speak to what this will be like, but I know on my regular Friday night IHSA varsity crew, we like to let the players play.

Side Note: I used to referee water polo. I stress used to because one game my partner and I got evaluated at half time that it was 7-1 in regards to ejections. We were instructed to try to even out the ejections in the second half.

Water Polo would have to be extremely tough to officiate. A lot of stuff going on under water.

Some teams are just dirty /aggressive and its possible the ejections should have been tilted.

It's actually very tough, and surprisingly fast.

Yes it is. My nephew played it at Iowa U and a golf buddy's grandson just got a good ride to USC. Also my former neighbor's son, Kyle Kopp, was the goalie for the US National Team for many years. I love to watch the game. Gotta be a strong person to play that sport.

Congrats to your buddy's grandson. USC is a hell of a team to get a full ride too.

I don't think that it was a full ride. Part of it also was for academics. My friend BTW is a very interesting fellow. He was a member of the Hitler youth in Germany and I love listening to his stories about growing up in Germany at the time. His family were farmers in Germany before the war. Leo is 87 years old and still snow skies at the local mountains. The guy became a custom cabinet maker and is sharp as a tack. A very interesting guy with really rare knowledge of Hitler's Germany as seen through the eyes of a child in Germany.

You know what...god damn if that isn't a pretty cool story about your buddy.

Also: whatever the scholarship is for, if you are good enough to play water polo for USC, you have my respect.

Train frustration!! Heading into NYC for work on the metro north train. I am sitting in a 4 seater. (2 seats facing 2 seats) I chose the south facing isle seat. A woman chooses the north facing diagonal inside northbound facing window seat, which is proper train etiquette . Then this tall stocky guy decides to take the seat directly in front of me (northbound facing isle seat). Now I am sitting where it goes his knee, my knee, his knee my knee when you look at us..we are like this all the way into the city. It's a really uncomfortable feeling. If I was on the train and someone was sitting here I would find another seat or stand. I would not make myself and another adult male this uncomfortable by choice. I guess that's just me...

There is a dude on my morning Metra train into downtown Chicago who is easily 2.5 people wide.... big fat fuk.... and he will trip his way upstairs and waddle down the aisle brushing his fat flab all over the people he passes and then plunk himself down in a single seat between 2 occupied seats that sit the passengers side to side.... and then he will spend an entire ride in basically laying on top of 2 people.

We all want to murder him.... I have to wonder if he's not a troll on this board lol

Hahahah I can't stand when people do that. It sounds like the guy during your commute is doing it intentionally. I have been on many trains where I am forced to stand because I don't want to make myself or fellow passengers uncomfortable ..some people are so lazy the need to plop their bodies anywhere to avoid having to stand up...
